I'm trying to make peas for the girls and I think they are too lumpy. I'm afraid to feed them that way. I don't want them to choke on the skins. Is there a secret to pureeing peas??

    Thanks.

I added water in the food processor until it became the right consistency - they are really thick without water!

I cook thm til they are really soft then I blend them for a long time (like 15 minutes +) and add quite a bit of water. If they are still too chunky then you can press them through a wire mesh seive. My boys like them a bit chunky, so it's not a problem here.

Blend them with water and if they are too watery in the end, add rice cereal to thinken them back up.

Oh...maybe make them sugar snap peas istead of the little green peas. The sugar snap peas are in the pod and blend up better (I think) plus they are better nutritionally too

I would steam them until they were tender, then add them to the blender with some water. I wouldn't have to blend them for very long. I got them to a good consistency & then froze. I used frozen peas. I worried about them not getting smooth enough, but never had an issue.
