    Hi -

I think it's time we start getting rid of some of our twins things - 2 high chairs, 2 car seats...eveyrone here knows what I am talking about!

Any advice on how to get the most money for these items? I was thinking of contacting out local consigment shop but I have always heard they don't pay much. If i go there how do I know I am getting the best price? Is Ebday the best place for this?

    Thanks!

After selling NOTHING at a yard sale recently, we have now tried Craigslist. Sold an exersaucer and a piano toy in less than 3 days. I plan on selling another exersaucer, high chair, and a few toys this way. I'm so happy with getting that storage space back!!!

We sold most of our stuff on Craigslist. :good: Much less work then a yardsale and you get decent prices for things. GOod luck!!

I have sold all of my stuff through our local twins club, yard sales, and Craigslist.

For the outdated baby toys, I donated them to our local Early Intervention program. They turned around and gave most of them to a needy family.

Craigslist for the big items and our twins club's sale.

We either give it away or sell it to a local shop that takes gently used items and then sells it themselves (this is consignment, correct?).

Our local MOMs club has a consignment sale twice a year and that is where I unload alot of stuff. However, I have heard lots have great luck with Craigslist.

I have done Craigslist, yard sale, and consignment. Consigning works the best for me if I have a lot of items(clothes). I put the big stuff(superyard, etc) on Craigslist. The yard sale was a LOT of work for nothing!

We had a neighborhood yard sale and I often use eBay for easy to mail items. Just tried Craigslist and got responses almost immediately. I hesitated prior to this but I just made sure to specify pick up time range, and cash only to make it easier.

We have had luck with Craigslist, too. We also do a yard sale periodically, and I do list some things on eBay (shoes, for instance, when in excellent condition). The yard sale doesn't generate the best $$ as people tend to haggle, but when clutter is taking over, it's a good way to purge! :)

I list high-end clothing only on ebay and get really good results for that. I do yard sales as well, but only have good luck with those when I have lots of baby stuff to sale, like high chairs, cribs, etc. If you price stuff to sell, you will probably do well with a yard sale and sell seasonal. I have never had good luck with Craigslist, but I live in a smaller area, so that could be the reason. Mostly I hand down to relatives, or good will my stuff.

I always did Craigslist for the large items and eBay for the (more expensive) clothing (and other items). Small clothing lots I put on Craigslist as well. Now I am using a combination of websites, our building (400 units) and the Mothers Of Multiples Sale.

I've had good luck with Craigslist. I list stuff pretty cheaply, because at this point, I just want to get it out of my house! But, I've sold a high chair, pack n' play, two strollers, miracle blankets, car mirrors, mobiles, tub, exersaucer, jumperoo, even cloth diapering stuff.

It's a lot less effort than doing a yard sale, or even a mothers of multiples sale (one of these days I'll get around to that). And, so far I've made almost $350.

I use Craigslist for the bigger items and then twice a year I rent a table at a local Mom to Mom sale. If I have some bigger items, I will also take these to the Mom to Mom sale and have never had to bring big items home from that.
