How did you find TS?

So I was thinking about the first time I came across TS...the boys were about 3 months old and my Mom had met this woman with 7 month-old twins that lived in TX. She was telling my Mom to tell me to just hang in there, it would get much easier in just a couple of months...she said that the only way she survived the first few months was by the "online twin chat site" that she was a part of. Once my Mom told me this, I immediately logged on and found TS!!! A LIFESAVER!!!!!!!!!!

So, I'm curious, how and when did you find TS? Just searching online for it, happened upon it, someone told you about it, etc?

 

I found out I was having twins at my u/s at 21 weeks! I immediately came home and started searching....for SOMETHING! I am so thankful that I found TS! It has truly been a great source of support and friendship. I will say though, that I lurked the entire length of my pregnancy! I started posting once the babies were here! Now I mention it to every twin mom I see!

 

I happened upon TS while I was pregnant with my second set. I was looking for information on HCG levels in twin pregnancy and it pulled up a thread on TS. I came back and read some other posts, but didn't post myself. I still didn't know if I was having twins again or not. Once I knew I was expecting my second set I starting posting. It took me awhile to check out any other forums. Now - I'm totally addicted!

 

Shortly after I found out we were having twins, I did the same thing - Googled everything "twins" I could! I bookmarked the page, but didn't have a chance to join until I returned to work 2 months after the boys were born. I wish I'd joined while I was pregnant, as I had tons of questions. But...I'm here now and love it!

 

During the last few months I was searching online for more information about breastfeeding twins. I guess I put in the right search words and found this wonderful site.

 

just a random search online for anything "twins" while i was pregnant. like becky, i was a "lurker" until after they were born!

 

I googled twins and twinstuff came up. I only saw the first page and didn't know there were forums... I think I came back to it a few months later, and discovered the forums!

 

I go to another messge board, as do a few ladies from this site, and one of them mentioned TS to me. It took me awhile to get here. I joined when mine were 5 months olds. I wish I had found it while I was pregnant though.

 

I google twins when I found out at 7 weeks... but I joined and started posting when I was about 6 months pregnant. I was lurking the whole time though, I was too shy to jump in!

 

My brother's girlfriend came across it before we even knew I was having twins. She told me about it and I checked it out. I didn't join until right before they were born.

 

I googled twins forums the day I found out that I was having twins. I was already on a site called fertilityfriend where you can track your fertile days and it has a twin board also but TS is the best and most informative.

 

Oh my, I think I was 20 something weeks pregnant when I joined. I googled for info about twins. I'm SO happy I found TS!

DITTO, and what a lifesaver, especially when I was on bedrest for 12 weeks.

 

when I was about 21 weeks pregnant and found out it was twins I freaked out, and posted on another forum that I love. someone on there also had twins, and directed me here. I'm so glad she did! I joined the same day, it was a huge help in dealing with the rest of my pregnancy. and it's been so nice to know that I'm not the only one going nuts! hehe.

An online search when I discovered I was having twins! Oddly enough it took my 4 months of "lurking" before I ever signed up and then some more time before I even started posting.

 

Strange for me, I never found TS until the girls were three months old! When I was pregant I posted on a general baby site, not knowing that TS existed. Wish I had! I coulda used some twin moms to talk to during pregnancy! Once I found TS, I've never been back to that other site's forums -- I still get some interesting fact-filled emails from them though (babycenter, fwiw).

 

I googled for info on twins when we found out at 6.5 weeks. It came up, I joined and well the rest is history! I love it here and I certainly would not have been able to make it through the past 3 years without my TS friends!

 

When I was 14 weeks I googled 'twin chat' hoping to find a chat room for ladies pregnant with twins and TS was one of the first 10 things I found. I lurked for, oh, about 2 hours, liked what I saw and joined!

 

My answer is like a lot of others. When I found out I was having twins I started searching the internet for all the information I could on twins and this site came up. I was a lurker for a long time as well.

 

Same for me, I googled twins and lo and behold TS!! I've been a junky ever since.

 

I think that I googled twin support IMMEDIATELY when I found out about having the boys.

This has been the BEST support forum!!!! Being a new mommy has been hard and considering these guys to not come with manuals, support and advice from everyone is great!!!!

 

I found that I needed advice from women who were going through multiples or have been through the stages mine are in. Singleton mom friends did not get my concerns and exhaustion issues. Around 7 months of going 200 miles per hour a day my DH found you guys to chat with and post my concerns. This place has been a great relief to me!

 

When I first found out I was pregnant, a friend sent me a link with a pregnancy calendar. And then after I found out we were having twins, I noticed on that site there was a link to TS. I started out reading some of the articles and such, then came across the forums, and got addicted! then joined.

 

I found out I was pg with my girls at 7 weeks and went home and started doing research and came acrossed TS.

 

When I told one of my good friends (who has twins) that I was having twins she mentioned this site. I am so glad she told me about it!

 

I googled it also.

 

I googled for twins forum! I found this place and another two twin forums, one was very militant and the other didn't have as much traffic as here nor did it seem as friendly. I registered and started posting a year ago (when I was around 11 weeks pregnant!!)

 

Googled looking for twin sites with chat rooms and came across this one. Been addicted since.

 

I was pregnant and searching for things related to being pregnant with twins - that was a glorious day!!!
TS has been my best friend ever since!!!

 

I think I was looking at the Twins Magazine site and either there was a link to it, or someone mentioned it.
I've never found Twins Magazine nearly as helpful as TS is!

 

A coworker at my office found out I was having twins and e-mailed me about the site. Her husband, Mark, is one of the brothers who created TS. I'm so thankful she told me about it.

 

YAHOO! Looking for a foam nursing pillow and I noticed the Forums. I was surprised because I never noticed them on the web search listed as a Message Board.

SO incredibly glad I did!!!!

That's really neat!

 

A twin mom from my work told me about it when I was pregant. I also did not know there were message boards and just focused on the store because I wanted to register for things. I wish I found it when I was pregnant. I had so many questions. About 5 weeks after the boys were born I had to research acid reflux and I think the first time I asked a question was on this topic. I had about an hour before having a dr. app for the boys and I wanted to get as much info as possible. My mil was at my house and I remember saying to her, 'watch how fast I get replies'! And sure enough, I was getting advice/suggestions. I never in a million years thought I would become addicted like I have and I never would have thought I would have been able to make 'internet friends'. This site has gotten me through some very tough times with my little guys!

 

Actually, I wish I did find TS when I was pregnant with the twins!
My Husband found TS during a search when the twins were 2 months old and having really
bad case of diahrea (sp?) anyways! I have been reading the posts but never actually signed
up until this past week.. the twins are 8 months old now.. I'm so glad he found TS, I can really relate
to other twin MOMs take their advice and offer advice.. it's a wonderful Forum!
