Okay.. I just had the babies weighed today and there is like a 7 lb difference,.. It just keeps growing. and growing!!!

Baby A (boy) 7 lbs at birth 20.5 in
    22.5 lbs now 29 in

Baby B (girl) 5.5 lbs at birth 18.5 in
    16.5 lbs now 26.5 in

How much bigger is baby A going to be?!?!?!? He is HUGE compaired to his sister. He is already wearing 9-12 and she is barely fitting in 6-9 (really still in 3-6)
By their first bday i swear there will be a 10 lb difference!!

    BTW they are 8 months..

ETA: tried to edit spink into spin. lol

I have girls and they have always been very similar in size, never more than a pound apart. I noticed just recently Emma seems to be growing a bit faster.

I go to a twins' playgroup and I have seen several frats a couple of pounds different.

Mine are still pretty darn close...

    Baby A (Reagan)
    Birth- 5lbs10oz, 18 inches
4months- 13lbs8oz, 24 inches (this is our most recent)

    Baby B (Jason)
    Birth- 5lbs7oz, 18 inches
    4 months- 13lbs, 24.5 inches

Their 4mth checkup was the first time they weren't the same length. Their heads were always the same too, until this last checkup and his is slightly bigger now. Not much though.

7 is a lot wow! Mine are 3 apart and I feel that is a lot. I think DD is catching up though. For the last 2 weeks she has been eating about 2x what her brother eats!

The boys were always the same height & head size, but were usually about a half pound difference. To this day it stays the same. It was really confusing the nurse trying to do their football physicals, even their weight was the same there.

Mine were 2 oz different at birth with DD bigger. Now she is about 1 lb bigger. DS eats table food/baby rfood much better but DD is a better nurser. So we will see after weaning.

Karina has been about 1.5 to 2 pounds heavier than Kevan for at least six months now....but, she's been packing on the pounds recently -- she's now 23 pounds, and he's about 20. She's an inch taller, too.

I just had mine weighed last week and my 2 month old b/g twins are 3 lbs apart. They were 1 lb apart at birth. It will be interesting to see how the grow differently!

Well, their 4-month appt is next monday, so I'll know more accurate numbers after that, but, according to my scale at home, there is about four pounds difference between them at 16 weeks (17 lbs and 13 lbs). There was 8 oz difference at birth. They are very different builds!

  16. At birth they were a half pound apart.....now they are 5lbs different!!

    Maya 4lbs 8oz
    Sofia 6lbs 1oz

now, Sofia is 9 lbs. Not sure about Maya, but she has to be at least 7 lbs, not more than 8- and I don't think she is 8

My two are going on the same track as yours. Lol. Ds is huge and then we have our peanut.

    Birth: Ds 5.14 lbs

    Dd 5.8 lbs

    8 months old Ds 23lbs

    Dd 18lbs
And ds is 3 inches longer.I'm taking them in tomorrow to get weighed for 9 months  Ds is also in 9-12 and dd is in 6-9 (pants are still 3-6).

Mine were ounces in difference for the longest time and then dd got reflux and sick and now DS is a good 3lbs more than her. He looks bigger than that because he is built differently than she is. That is why everyone second guesses me when I say they are twins.

My boys have been relatively close I think since birth...

    Nicholas
    Birth: 6lbs13oz
    6 months: 16lbs4oz

    Anthony
    Birth: 6lbs3oz
    6 months: 15lbs12oz

As for head size-Anthony wins that award, and as for length, Nicholas wins that award! Anthony can still-if we REALLY wanted to-fit in some 0-3 clothes. He's a shortie! And a cute one at that! ;)

I think your DS is just a big guy. My girls have always been similar in size, but at age 2 they were almost 2 pounds apart. They were about your daughter's size at 8 months though. They have a cousin who is 8 months and about your DS's size, he's looks SO big to me!

Emma was 1.5lbs bigger at birth than Jake. Since then, Jake caught up and passed her by about 1.5lbs. Right now though, they are within a few ounces of each other.

Mine were exactly the same weight at birth, 2 pounds, 13 ounces (1280 g). The nurses and doctors commented all the time about how weird that is and that ID twins don't even usually weigh exactly the same. Anyway, I won't know for sure until our 4 month appointment next week, but I think there is at least a pound difference now. They feel a lot different in weight and I think they are just built differently. Last month I think there was a half pound difference. I'll try to come back and update after our appointment on Tues.

My dd and ds were the same size when born; however, they are 11 mos. now and DS has consistently been about 4lbs. bigger than dd for a while now. DD feels so light to carry and DS is a linebacker!!!! He has always been in the 50% for weight though so I am hoping his is still in that range when we go in for one year. It makes it hard to tell if she is just really little or he is gigantic!

I feel the same way as Ashley...

    Sam
    birth: 6 lbs. 14 oz.
    6 months: 17 lbs. 5 oz.

    Viv:
    birth: 5 lbs. 3 oz.
    6 months: 15 lbs. 2 oz.

Around 7 1/2 mos. into my pregnancy, their weights, which were always really close, shifted. Over the next month, Sam had made excellent progress while Viv's weight gain dropped off. At 36 weeks when they saw she had gained no weight in the past 2 weeks, they did a c-section.

They are now just over 8 months and Sam has consistently stayed 2+ lbs. over her. He has to be close to 20 lbs. now, although she is catching up. She is still smaller but is now in 6-9 and some 9-12 mos. clothing, where he is in 9-12. He also tends to eat a bit more.

Despite the fact that they look NOTHING like each other and have completely different body types, they have always been close in size. M might weigh a couple ounces more than A, and A is slightly taller than M, but they are virtually the same size and have been since birth.

    Birth:
    Sara - 7lb 2oz
    Julian 6lb10oz

    7months:
    Sara - 18lb 10oz
    Julian - 18lb 13 oz.

Sara has always been about 1/2 - 1 pound heavier than her brother, but just in the past 2 weeks, he has surpassed her. He is also now 1/2 inch longer and his head is 1/2 inch bigger. Julian LOVES to eat now and can polish off an 8oz bottle in less than 5 minutes. He has a stockier build now, with big hands and feet, and she is more girly. For so long we thought Julian would be a little skinny thing, but it's funny how that seemed to change in just a few weeks!

My DD was at birth - 4.8 lbs
she is now - 13 lbs

My DS was at bith - 5.11 lbs
He is now - 15.5 lbs

the weight now is a guestimation, they were last weighed two weeks ago so I assume this is what they would be by now.

Jack was born weighing 4 lb 5

Sophie was born weighing 3lb4 so there was a 1lbs difference

Now jack weighs 30lb 2 and Sophie weighs 21 lb 3 so there is a 9lb weight difference!!

Sophie wears 9 -12 month clothes and jack is in 18- 24. I constantly get asked if they are twins because of the weight difference.

My b/g twins are usually within a pound of each other and within a quarter inch. HC however, he's got this huuuuuge punkin shaped gourd where his head should be and she's got a normal sized noggin.

    At birth
    Royce 5# 4 oz
    Alice 4# 14oz

    1 week
    Royce 4#8 oz
    Alice 3# 10 oz

    6 months
    Royce 16# 10 oz
    Alice 15# 12 oz

now they're almost 9 months and we'll see how much they've grown shortly!
