I have a TON of wipie containers and for some odd reason I save them in hopes that I can find a use for them. I use some to sort crayons, glue, scissors, and things of that nature. I used to keep rattles & small toys in them until that became a hassle. Now I am left with TONS of them and I can't seem to part especially the ones with the Mickey & Pooh designs on them. Anyone use them for anything in particular?

Same here, although we may have 2 or 3...

Maybe you can give them away on freecycle?

My mom INSISTS on buying wipes ALL the time  I tell her to just buy the refills all the time, but grandma's have their own sense of thinking!

I buy refills at BJs and it always comes with another container.. I don't know why! I keep a container at my mom's house, one in the car, the girls play with one (they love to put toys in it and then reach thru the hole and pull them out, and I also keep one in my laundry room filled with plastic store bags. It contains that mess a little and makes those bags easily accessible for use in waste paper baskets.

Yeah I just said to my husband the other day that I realized we have had the same two containers, one in their room and one in the living room for over a year now LOL

I just use the refills so I only have one container.

I bet your local kindergarten teacher can think of 1001 uses for them in her classroom (coming from a former kindie teacher).

I was going to suggest that too, my SIL teaches 5th grade and was thrilled when I gave her some extras that we had lying around.

i buy the costco (kirkland signature) ones so i don't have that many around.

what kind are they? do they stack? big stacking blocks.

how many are there? maybe you can hot glue them together and make a playhouse? (like bricks)

sort out their mcdonalds happy meal toys, or tiny things of that nature.

use to store baby socks or several to organize drawers (without the tops)

use to keep your beauty things like manicure/pedicure stuff all together. or tanning lotions, or whatever you're into.

use them for matchbox cars, action figures, little people, legos, etc. find pics of what's in there from newpaper ads or toy packages and stick it on the outside so they know what's inside.

ETA: keep one by close to the door filled with snack size ziplocs with crackers and the like to grab on your way out the door.

if you still have some left over, give them to your local preschool. they WILL love them

We get a new one every time we buy a box of wipes at Sam's Club.

Ours hold Legos, Polly Pockets, flash cards, puzzle pieces, and 1001 other things....you may not have a use for them right now, but you will when your kiddos are 5! :)

One of Aidan's favorite games is to shove small toys through the opening one at a time. Then he brings me the wipes container and I empty it for him. Then he does it again and again and again.

I have one in the nursery that I just refill. I buy the bulk wipes from wal-mart....much cheaper that way! :)

We have one container and my MIL got us a case of wipes from Costco last summer that we use for refills.

We use refills and only have a couple of the containers, however I might buy one every once in a while to have for the very ideas some of these very industrious mommies have come up with. :clapping:

    Great thread :D

    Things I've used them for:

toy storage - blocks, finger puppets
crayon/marker storage - home and car
hair thingies (but you have all boys?) :)
    manicure kit
pretend lunch boxes to take on backyard picnics
money box (at my book fair at school, but could use for a yard sale, too)

Saw them once in the ladies room at a church. They'd been covered in Contact paper and had a stash of tampon & pads, with a little note to use what you needed.

I agree that a teacher could find lots of uses for them. I never had many either, but I have this obsession with useful containers.

We use refills too but I bet a teacher could use them also. I teach 7th and 8th grade art and am still kicking myself for tossing our formula cans, lol! DUH, sooo much I could have done with those. I had enough probably that every student could have made a nice project. Oh well. Storing markers and stuff in them is a good idea. Or maybe storing smaller bathroom things, like hair clips, lotions, etc?

I have tons of them as well and surprisingly, I have found so many different uses for them. They are great for storing arts and craft materials. I have two of them filled with crayons and two filled with markers so that they can each have their own when coloring. It greatly eliminates the fighting over them putting the box in front of them and their sibling not being able to reach it. I also use one for all the girls hair ties but guess that wouldn't apply to you. I use one to keep pacifiers in and another to keep scissors in. I also used to use them to separate certain toys. Like one for the little people and one for their TV character figures and one for their animals etc.. That way I could control how many toys were out at a time and it didn't get too crazy. You can use them to keep miscellaneous socks in so that when you find another one, you can look for it in the box.

The great thing about the boxes is that you can write on them with permanent marker and label them so they really have great uses. I love my extra wet wipe boxes.
