i know this is a weird question. my oldes son will not eat fruit. he as stopped with fruits as soon as I stopped giving him smashed up food -about 1 year. The pedi said it was a texture thing and he would get over it. well, he is about 2 years old (1 year later) and he still will not touch fruit. he loves meats and veggies but not fruits. he will drink juice all day long if i let him and about one out of 3 times i try he will drink a fruit smoothie that I make him.

does anyone have any idea how i can get this little guy to eat fruit? i feel like he is missing out -i love fruit. thanks!

My daughter is also not real big on fruits. She has never really cared for it though even in the jar form. This is a complete change from my older two who I couldn't even let see fruit until their meal was gone or they would eat nothing else. I pretty much just try and give her fruit a few times a day. Just a little amount. Sometimes she will nibble on it a little and sometimes she won't eat it at all. I am not all that worried about it. When she is older and we can reason with her a little better we will work on it then!

make sure what ever you are giving them is room temp..

mine dont like stuff to hot or to cold.. all else fails .. cut it up in cereal, yogart , smoothys

make a paste and put it on their waffels..

Smear apples with peanut butter, mix up berries in a smoothie, cut up banana and put it on waffles. These are all tricks I use. But lately, my girls are into melon (watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew) It is in season now so it's nice and juicy, try it out!

DS won't eat fruit either....no juice, nothing but plain yogurt, no applesauce... NO FRUIT no smoothies

Only raisins and whole fruit popsicles so I am letting him pick I can only offer good things I can't make him eat!!! GOOD LUCK

Mine love it frozen. I freeze a can of fruit (or freeze fresh fruit), then blend it up with a cup of yogurt and some juice or even milk to make a smoothie or shake. Leave the liquid out and it's thicker and can be eaten with a spoon. A little messy, but if they eat it then it's worth the mess.

I was going to say the same thing. Jade isn't really big on fruit but she loves all melons, especailly watermelon. She also likes pears and blueberries, though, so she's not a lost cause. But I agree, try the melon!
