How Big At 6 Months?

Ok, how big were everyone else's "little" ones at their 6 month Dr. visit? They were almost 14 lbs at their 4 month visit, so I thought they'd be about 17 lbs, or so. When they weighed Jordan, I thought my son had his hand on the scale. But he didn't. She weighed 19 lbs. 8 oz. and was 27 ". Mackenzie was 19 lbs. and 1 oz and 26 and 3/4". I was suprised! I didn't think they gained that much. The doctor and the nurses were loving them and didn't seem concerned at all. They're doing great and are right on target, just chubby!

 

Mine were about 18 pounds.

Way to go mom! I've always loved chubby babies with their cute rolls - but all of my babies have been runts (These 2 were only 8 and 9 pounds at 4 months)

You do have some big babies! I think mine were close to 17lbs at 6 months. Way to go momma!

 

Mine were 17 1/2 and 19 1/2 lbs at 6 months (8 adjusted).

well, at 4 months the girls were 15 and 16lbs.....so i am excpecting BIG things at their 6 month in 2 weeks !!!!!

 

Mine were 17lbs 10 oz. and 18lbs 6 oz....My daughter is heavier.

Your's are chunky, too, I see.

Me too!
My girls were 14.12 and 15.7 at six months - 50th percentile. It sounds like your babies are healthy and doing fine!

 

Jackson was almost 22 pounds at our six month check up and Hannah was almost 16 pounds.

 

We just had our apt

Abigail is 16 lbs 11 oz
Mason is 17 lbs 8 oz

 

That's pretty big. Mine were 14 and 16lbs I think.

 

Good job mom! My oldest was that big, but he was all muscle, he hardly had any rolls.

My girls were 18lb 4oz and 18lb 1oz.

 

I've got big babies too. At 6 months old they were (Austin) 20 lbs 29inches and (Ryan) 21 lbs 5oz 29.25 inches. My son Ryan is always off the growth chart for his height.

 

At our 6 month check up, Lorien was 18.8 lbs, 27 1/2 in. Arwen was 21 lbs and 26 3/4 in. So I guess you could say that I was right there with you. Arwen was not only shorter than her sister but was more than 2 lbs heavier so she was just a great chub ball. I used to be very worried about her weight but after I was assured that it was ok and that I wasn't doing anything wrong (like overfeeding her) I really came to love her chubbiness. So did EVERYONE else. Since she has started to crawl, she is noticeably thining out. I'm actually going to be sad to see her cute chubbiness go

 

Way to grow, babies! At their 6 month appt, Lily was a whopping 20 lbs 7.5 oz and 28 in. long, and Lydia was 19 lbs 8.5 oz and 27 in. long...

 

My guys were little, they are actually 17 & 18 lbs now at 8 months. They are at 25%. They always look so tiny to me. My singletons were much bigger at this age even my 8 week preemie. The dr. says they are doing great and not to worry. I love chubby babies!

 

My Aiden was 20 lbs at 4 months and Noah was 15 lbs at 4 months..so I wouldn' t worry.

 

Noah was 20 lb 4 oz.
Jacob was 19 lb 6 oz.

But, they do not have the chubby baby look; especially my Jacob.

 

Wow, you guys are good! Mine are shrimps compared to all these bouncing beauties! Ben was 16lb 3 oz and Chloe a whopping 13 lb 14oz. Oh well, they are healthy and happy.

 

I think that is good. At this stage - you really can't be too chubby - they are just getting ready to crawl and walk! Good job with the weight gain!

 

Great weights! As long as your doctor isn't concerned, you shouldn't be. They sound like they are doing well.

Our girls had their 6-month yesterday and are 15lbs13oz & 16lbs1oz. Lots of people think they look big for their age. Whatever!

 

Sounds like your little ones are doing great!! We just had our 6 mth appt on Tuesday. Ronan was 17lbs4oz, Declan was a whopping 18lbs15oz. :lol:

 

Oh man, ours ARE teeny tiny little things. They just had their 6month and Amelia was 12-6 and Cole was 13-6! Amelia is just now fitting into 3-6 months clothes and some are big on her.

 

Well Sophie is only 17lbs now and she is 1 so i say you are doing very well lol. I ove chubby babies! x
