Horribe cramping after sex:(

DH and I hardly ever get to have sex-eep! and i feel bad for him so new years we did and it hurt like u know what! burning pain-and afterwards i had the worst menstral pains cramps i got very scared--now the next day it didnt go way so i went to the walk-in and i have another UTI-i have macrobid for that-do u think that the cramps were caused by the UTI? is the burining pain from that too or is that norml? i was fine with my singeltons but this pg has really been different in that area-:blush:
Im worried mostly of the cramping-i know u can get BH but i didnt think horrible cramps were normal

 

That exact thing would happen to me when DH and I would DTD. We stopped having sex until I talked to my doc, and she said that we should quit until the babies were here. A couple weeks later I was hospitalized for PTL, I can't say for sure that the 2 are related but to this day I still think its one of the factors that caused it. I would be careful if I were you, and definitely talk to your dr. Good Luck. My DH and I went over 5 months without DTD, it was long but well worth it (just think when you do get to do it again how good it will be!!)

 

I’m not 100% sure, but I think I remember some moms posting about taking care of UTIs because it can “start things” but it was when I first started snooping around TS so I don’t remember (I has twin shock brain)… I’m sure a lot of moms have had experience with this… I know when I get UTI it burns when I go until I can “flush it out” or in bad cases get meds…
So I’m sorry I don’t have much other than I hope you feel better soon… I HATE uti’s

 

Pretty much the same as PP here...mine were PTL contractions. Originally, I just thought it was back spasms, since I'd had a lot of back pain. We stopped after it happened, just in case. Not long after that I was put on bedrest and officially told to abstain. I'd guess it was similar for us...probably 4 months w/out any fun. As a side note, I ended up w/ a UTI--the 1st and only I've ever had--when on bedrest. I had cramping with it too. They say that the infections can spur on PTL as well. Drs weren't sure why my 2 were preemies, but the UTI I got was 1 suspect. So...I'd probably abstain until it's over and until you can talk to your dr, just to be on the safe side.

I am sup. your doctor is still allowing you to DTD! Mine cute me off when we were about 23 weeks due to PTL and we just cleared to start up again. It was so uncomfortable though. <_< Oh well.

Another UTI? You poor thing! I hope this isn't leading to PTL and bedrest for you (just per what others have written here).

 

thanks girls! PTL scares me the most! ill def talk to my OB on the 10th; and no nookie til i know for sure are the sharp pains in the thighs related to PTL too? I better have my OB check for cervix shortening.
