Honestly, I have no idea ... I just had a flip-out episode a few weeks ago. I think things started to "improve" around 5 months, when the babies started to get some kind of schedule going and it wasn't just pel-mel around here, plus they wern't waking as much at night, so sleep improved as well. Are you nursing? I think nursing can have an impact on your hormones and emotions as well ...

Yeah, I thought I was doing GREAT and then I also flipped out a few weeks ago around 6 months. It seems to be a lot better when I am on my active birth control pills. I think it is important to get a lot of help from others - DH, babysitter, family, friends. I really thought I was losing my marbles a few weeks ago and wondered if it was delayed ppd. It's not. I'm not nursing anymore either (obviously, since I am back on the pill).

    thanks ladies..
I am not breastfeeding. I feel like I am not myself lately.. I wasnt sure if it was the hormones or not.
I am sure its stress too.. this is not an easy job at all.

Are you feeling depressed? PPD maybe? There is a sticky at the top of FY that you might want to check out. I hope you are feeling better soon. :hug99:

I think any woman not occasionally flipping out and having episodes of frustration/despair/guilt, is probably not spending much time at home! We all just want the same things: a good night's sleep, a meal in peace and quiet, our older children to behave age-appropriately, etc. When we aren't getting these basic needs, you betcha we're going to be unhappy! Especially the sleep. I often feel like there's not much I can't handle if I've had a good night's sleep, but I haven't had one of those since mid-pregnancy.

I felt better after a couple of months but then around 7 months felt worse and just haven't felt myself since. What a rollercoaster!

The same questions have been running thru my mind... I've always been a very even-tempered, mellow type of person. My first two pregnancies didn't affect me that much, but this time... I still feel like I'm far from back to normal. I get irritated with DH more easily, have rapid mood changes, no interest in intimacy... My twins are 3.5 months also. I am nursing...
