I just wanted to write a quick post to give some hope to anyone who might be having as rough of a time as I was. When my LO's were about 10 days old I started a terrible habit. I slept sitting up on the couch with them sleeping on the EZ 2 Nurse Twin pillow. We all got brilliant sleep but my back was killing me. It took me 3 months to get them off me and me into my bed! I was finally able to get DS into his crib but DD had to sleep in a swing. There were nights that it took 1-3 hours just to get them to sleep but we persevered with no CIO. We rocked, sang, nursed, bottled them to sleep and then put them in their beds. Somewhere around 5 months things just started changing. They'll be 6 months next week and I can now lay them in their beds drowsy but awake and they roll over, hug a lovey, suck their paci (they just started taking these at 5 months), and I turn on a lullaby CD and hum along to that a few minutes and they're out. It's amazing to me what a huge change this is and that it just happened on their own time with me gently guiding them. We still are working on STTN but I know we'll get there when they are ready for that too. I never thought I'd be able to just lay them down and they'd roll over and go to sleep but they're doing that (they need a little help sometimes but that's becoming less common every day) so we'll get there. Just wanted to give someone out there some hope. It WILL get better and probably when you give up trying so hard to fix it. ;) I'm so excited to get into 6 months and beyond because so far I'm LOVING it. I love taking them out to go shopping...never thought I'd say that! It is getting so much better!! Here's some pics from Monday:

GOrgeous pictures! Way to go, keep up the good work. It does seem to get easier around the 5 month mark, or at least it did with my twins, too.
