Hook on High Chairs?

I am trying to figure out what kind of high chair I want for our 7 month old (5 months adjusted) girls. Our kitchen is tiny, so tiny that we have to have the table pushed against the wall. So that means that two full sized high chairs are out of the question. Someone gave me one and the stupid thing is in my way all of the time, even though it folds up. The space saver ones aren't going to save any space since we wouldn't be able to have the table pushed up against the walls and the chairs pushed in all the way. And our house is so small, there is no where to push them out of the way to make more room in the kitchen.

So I thought the chairs that hook on the table would be a good solution. I just wanted opinions from moms who have tried these and which ones they recommend. I would really like to be able to take them with us when we go out to eat because restaurant high chairs disgust me, so portability is important to me as well. I know some places will have wobbly or flimsy tables and they won't work at all restaurants, but I just wondered if anyone else took them out and used them and had good experiences with them?

I'm also wondering how these work in a restaurant. Would we have to sit at a regular table or would they work in a booth? Can one baby sit next to me in the booth while one baby sat next to my husband? Or would they not fit in that space?

I am trying to read different reviews but most reviews are from moms with one baby and I am curious about how it works with 2 hanging on a table.

If anyone has any other ideas, I'm open to them as well!! Thanks! :)

I have the Chicco hook on seat. It works great for us. We use it mostly when we go out and it's perfect, it fits most tables. The only downside is that there is a little gap between the babies and the table so I have to insert a folded up blanket so their toys don't fall through.

You may want to check to see if they fit your table before you buy.

I've put both on one side of the table and one side of the booth and they work just fine.

I used the Regalo chair for my singleton. We took it everywhere - restaurants, vacation, family's house, etc. It folds completely flat and works on most tables, as long as the table's apron isn't too large. We only encountered a few it didn't work on. It has a 5 point harness and it very sturdy. My daughter loved it. And it's super economical! I will definitely be buying a second one of these to use for my twins when they are ready.

we have 2 of these My link its all we use. we LOVE them. they are sturdy and snug and take up FAR less room than a highchair.

ingore how messy they look here, this was our first attempt at Graham crackers LOL But the chairs wiped off nicely.

We have two of the Chicco hook on chairs and love them. We have them hooked on the island in our kitchen and just leave them there. Then, we can sit and feed them or stand and feed them. I also bought some foam at Babies R Us to put on the counter right in front of the chairs because the babies are still too small for them and they sometimes try to lean over and konk their faces. The foam is soft so they can't bust a lip on the hard counter anymore. I love these and really don't want to get real high chairs!

Thanks for your replies! I'm glad to hear that you all are happy with yours! I told my husband about them last night and he was a little skeptical about having to haul our own "high chairs" into a restaurant. He's already annoyed by all the attention we get just from having twins. LOL But he did think it was a great option for our kitchen.
