Honest Thoughts

We're having boy/girl twins, and the girl's name we have:
Kendall Ellen - Kendall because dh and I love it, and Ellen after dh's grandmother (who he was super close to)

Just like when we had ds, we are never in agreement on a boy's names. Below are the front runners:
Brennan
Eli
Griffin

Middle name thoughts - perhaps Fritz after my grandfather. Or, if we use Brennan or Griffin, Eli could be the middle name.

Griffin and Kendall are cute together.

I like Eli too.... that's going to be my boy's name Elijah James... we'll call him Eli though.

 

My choice would be Brennan. I like EIli too but it seems too short in relation to Kendall ( which I love btw) and since you have a child with a name starting with a G unless you want to ha ve both twins having names beginning with G i would opt not to use Griffin( which I also like). I just think Brennan is the best choice in relation to your other childerens names

 

I really like Griffin! And Kendall & Brennan are a little too twins-y-match-y for my taste (my two absolute favorite girl names are Zoe & Chloe and I just could not do it for that same reason - wanting to give them as much individuality as possible). Although whether or not you use matching names is a preference thing and many parents really like the idea of having twins with similar sounding names.

I like all your middle name choices! How many syllables does your last name have? The rhythm might help you choose.

 

I love your name choices! I don't think you could go wrong with any of them!

My favorite is Griffin Eli. I do think however that using Fritz would be an honor to your grandfather and since you are using a family name for Kendall's middle name it would be neat to use one for your son. I think Griffin Fritz is adorable also.

 

I like Griffin and Kendall. My niece is named Brennan, so I don't think of that as a boy's name. Brendan however would also sound good with Kendall.

 

I really like Mo's idea of Brendan and Kendall. With the Eli and Ellen it would be very cute! I have a hard time when twins have the first letter in their names keeping the names straight. I'll be able to tell the difference between the kids, but mix up their names. I'm not a fan of Fritz. It was my step grandfather's name and it just sounds so dated to me! This coming from the woman who was going to name a girl Emma Eileen after her grandmother! Go figure!

Love the name Brennan, that is a first choice for me and Fritz is just a great name!

 

My vote would be for Brennan Eli. I like that the middle names start with the same letter but the first names do no. I do not see how Kendall and Brennan is "too matchy" ????
I love the name Griffin, but agree that it doesn't seem right that Gabriel and Griffin would both be G names but Kendall wouldn't.

I like Fritz, it's got personality, but it doesn't seem to go with Griffin or Brennan, but could see Eli Fritz.

 

Thanks, ladies! I'm going to share your thoughts with dh tonight. Our first choice was originally Eli Fritz, but then I found the names Brennan and Griffin - I really think Brennan is my favorite. Although, it didn't go with the Fritz we were hoping to use. Dh's first pick is still Eli, which I like, too. I'll let you know when we decide... although, with Gabriel, that was the day we had him. :lol:
