So Elizabeth is very sensitive to wipes now that her bum is so sore. a nice lady gave me some little dissolvable soap cubes for making wipes. I am dissolving them now and have a bunch of baby washcloths I am going to use as wipes.

I guess my big question is, how do yo store them once they are wet?

    Thanks

When I CD'ed, I never left the wet. I just got a big spray bottle and filled it with a wipe solution I made and sprayed it directly on the cloth when it was time to wipe, then threw the cloth in with all the dirty diapers. It worked well for me. Another thing you can do is take the container that stores disposable wipes and keep them in there. I never used this method but I remember reading it somewhere. Come to think of it, she used a roll of paper towels soaked in the wipe solution-not cloth towels. That may make a difference.

I make my own wipes out of paper towels and we keep them in a tupperware container.

I use an old wipe container and fill it with washcloths then pour a soapy solution over it. We go through the wipes within 2-3 days so they don't go bad.

I've also used homemade baby wipes made from paper towels, baby soap and baby oil. I loved them with my oldest two, but they gave Sean worse rashes. <_<

This is what I do too!!!

I also just put the solution in a tupperware container and when its time for a wipe I just dip one in wring it out and use it. (never double did LOL) then I throw it in with the diapers.

Here is a recipe for solution too if you run out of soap cubes

3 to 5 cups of warm water
tea tree body wash 2 pumps
5 drops of tea tree oil (pure)
5 drops of lavender oil (pure)

this is great and the tea tree oil is a natural antibacterial agent. I even put this in the wash when I do the diapers.

    good luck :)

Thanks so much ladies. I dont have an empty wipes container because we always bought the costco ones, but I do have some old tupperware so I will try that.

Try the big freezer ziplock bags. I put my store bought wipes in there because we buy bulk which do not have a container and it holds the moisture well.

I had someone make the tutu for Elizabeth and I put together Tug's outfit! That particular picture was taken at portrait innovations.

A friend of mine made a really great container. She uses Bounty towels, cuts the rolls in half with a serated knife, then pulls out the cardboard. Then get a round Rubbermaid container that is the size of the 1/2 roll. Drill a 1 inch hole in the middle of the lid. Drop paper towels in, pull out the towels from the middle, add soap and water solution.

If you have a wipe warmer, just put them in there and pour the solution over them... if you fold the right you can even make them pop up! I only wet enough for a day at a time.
