I feel like I need to be doing more interesting things with my boys. What do you guys do with your little ones (when they're awake ;o) for stimulation?

At your babies' age I would do a lot of talking and singing to them. Also interactive songs like Itsy Bitsy Spider and I would climb up the water spout (spout being their legs or belly - spider being my hands/fingers), Patty Cake, etc. I read books to them, not that they really paid attention - but it gave me something to do and they were just happy being held. I would put them in their bouncies and sit on the floor with them and fold laundry, move rattles/toys around for them to track, begin to reach for, grasp onto, etc. We would walk around the house (1 or 2 at a time) and talk about what we were seeing (There's your big brother playing, there's the couch, oh wow look how bright the sun is, etc.) You are their favorite play thing - so anything you do/say to them is just perfect - especially at this age! ;)

It gets easier and easier to play with them as they get more and more alert! :)

I didnt do too much with them at that age. Some bouncy seat time, some tummy time, some music, etc. They were really into sleeping at that age.

Same here, mine slept a lot at that age so not much stimulation. Now they play a lot more but still can“t handle too much. I played music to mine at that age but apart from that, feeding and a nappy change was usually enough!

Like others, mine slept a TON at that age, and up until at least 3 months of age (they were 7.5 weeks early). If they were awake, we just did a bit of tummy time and sitting in their little rockers. Now, we just rotate with tummy time, time on their backs, in their chairs with me singing or reading, bumbo seats, etc...

I didn't have mine up more than say a hour at that age, they get too stimulated and overtired. Sleeping mostly. Do some stuff for you right now like organizing the house, or baby proof early... when they get crawling THEN you have to really be more on top of them in the room all the time. Nap if you are able (I never could much) or just enjoy holding them. I've heard too many mom's when their kids are one year old wish they had held them while they slept more often. You can't take those times back.

At that age, there really isn't a whole lot you can do. We used (and still do) the fisher price rainforest gym, which they both loved - they don't do a whole lot but look around and kick, but it wears them out pretty quickly. You can do songs and maybe simple stories and baby books, and tummy time, and take them for a walk. It doesn't take a lot to get them tired :)
