I thought that I had read about people introducing cheese and yogurt around nine months. Sooo...today we went to my brother and SIL's for a party. I brought several things, one of them being a cheese and cracker tray. Thinking a new distraction would be a great thing if my girls got fussy, which they did, I grabbed a piece of cheese and gave them tiny bites of it, like smaller than a frozen pea. They only ate about 3-4 bites each and were done.

Fast forward an hour later. Lauren is c-r-a-n-k-y. She is not normally the cranky one, but she just cut another tooth so I popped in some Tylenol and expected that to be that. About a 1/2 hour after that my dh was feeding her while I was changing Emma and Lauren threw up, I mean THREW UP, and then she did it again. She is now freaking out crying and half choking so he tosses her off to me. I put her in my lap and she projectile vomits 2-3 more times (too upset to keep track). We were getting ready to leave anyway, so I change her up, put her in the car (and load lots of burp cloths around her since we JUST started using the new seats!!) and she slept about 30 minutes on the way home.

She drank a good amount when we got home and her disposition was fine. My stomach is so upset because I feel guilty for giving her the cheese. My instinct is just to watch her and call if anything else happens. My SIL agreed with me. So what would you do?

Michelle, I would just do as you said, no more cheese for awhile, and keep an eye on her. It could be the cheese or a total coincidence! :hug99:

I agree with Becky. Just keep an eye on her. Poor baby and poor mom for having to go through that. I hope that she will feel better tomorrow. And don't feel bad, who would have guessed that she would react that way. :hug99:

Poor thing... :( I would do the same.. keep an eye.

The going timeline for cheese etc is 10 months where I live. We are supposed to introduce egg yolk... then egg white... then eventually cheese...

I know the guidlines are all over the place for all different foods... but hey.. ;) thought I'd pass that on.

Poor bub... I hope she feels better... don't feel guilty... I know it's hard, and I probably would too, but you know you're a caring mum and would never do anything to make her sick...

Oh, don't feel bad! :( How would you know that would happen? I think your idea of watching her and calling if she seems worse is a good idea. :hug99: Poor baby and poor mommy! I hope she feels all better soon!

Yikes! Yucky! :hug99: I think that you should definitely keep an eye on her because it could be cheese, coincidence or illness. I hope she ok. :hug99:
