holy smoke!

i've been asking both Riley & Danika at each diaper change for a few months now if they would like to sit on their potty with the answer always been an unequivocable no. both girls hate being completely naked (they have to wear their swim shorts in the bath) although i'm not entirely sure why - i've just gone with it. anyway, today, on a whim, i asked if they would like to sit on the potty & offered them a sticker if they did (we just bought some new ones yesterday). they both said yes! and they both sat on their potties naked. and Danika peed!!! i never thought i would ever be so excited about pee in my life. :laughing: they both seemed really excited & enjoyed helping me empty the potty into the toilet & washing their hands. i hope this is the start of something beautiful.

 

Yay!!! I keep asking and they usually say no...now I am more hopeful! Did you promise stickers at the same time you asked them to sit?

 

i just said that i would give them a sticker if they wanted to sit on the potty without their diaper. then i gave Danika an extra sticker for peeing in the potty.

 

Way to go! And I love that you have little never-nudes... so cute.

 

what a great start! keep it up! isn't it funny how kids are so different?! love that they don't like being naked... totally opposite of ours!

That's awesome! I need to get off my duff and really start trying with my guys. They used to cry when we took off their diapers, but they're starting to get over it so it's time. I'm the one who's not ready... :laughing:

Nice Arrested Development reference! :good: Jack is a total never-nude; he wants to be fully clothed (including socks) at all times, and gets upset if his pants ride up. The only time he wants to take his clothes off is bath time!

 

That's fantastic!!! My girls had never once peed on the potty when I decided to train them and it worked so I'd say you are well on your way!!
