Holy guacamole

Okay, I changed my ticker to a birthday countdown one and I just realized that in less than 2 months they will be TWO!

WTH? Why did my stomach lurch? They're not going to be able to be called "babies" anymore!!

 

i hate to tell you this, sweets--but i think the "official" definition of a baby is up to 18 months. i hate telling you cuz mine turned 18 months just a few days ago and i could SWEAR they will be my babies forever!!

2 does sound scary. however, there's a lot to look forward to. there's no going back so just enjoy the next two months (and beyond, of course!).

:gah: The ticker thing gets me every year. :cry: It's hard admitting they are not babies anymore and I always delay the ticker change. Like that will help things slow down. :lol:

Those darn tickers. Sometimes I wish they would slow down a little! Babies grow way too fast!!

 

What are you talking about? Mine are still "the babies." I daresay I'll be thinking that until they go away to college...

 

I have a love/hate with the ticker. On the one hand I don't have to answer the "how old are they" question and on the other, I have to see that they're approaching two faster than I can count to the number. I have been all emotional over them growing-up so fast. I did not want anymore children when we conceived them...now, I wish I could stop the clock (and fill the bank account) and have 10 more. My first baby is driving me around town and these two are turning into kids...I keep telling them to stay babies, but they aren't listening.

I feel you too. We took the kids to the pediatrician yesterday and they are such little hams when they are out, so one of the questions we always get asked is "how old are they?" When I said 18 months, I practically had to spit the lump out of my throat. I just think back to a year ago when they were just learning to sit up on their own and here they are running around and reaching and doing all sorts of things. These are the first and last children for me and DH, so I get pretty misty eyed thinking of how much my "babies" have grown up!

 

I hear ya! Ours will be 2 next month! I can't hardly believe it. I was just thinking that the other day.....my babies aren't babies anymore!!

When I went to JCPenney about 3 months ago to buy some 12 month sleepers and was directed to the toddler section I actually got choked up. I liked shopping the baby dept. and I remember thinking, "Oh we are going to have toddlers in a month". It just goes to fast, but very slow when they are both screaming & crying for no reason .
