Since we're starting to see some early holiday shoppers question what would be good ideas for gifts for their little ones, please use this thread to post any questions and ideas you have about gifts for your little ones.

If you haven't started shopping yet - don't panic. There is still a lot of time. This will just help to get you started!

I am planning on getting a radio flyer wagon for my girls. Besides that maybe just some inexpensive toys. From grandparents, my girls are asking for extra college savings! :D

I'd love to hear of what everyone else is thinking. Especially toys that are popular and age appropriate. I have no idea what is out there these days!

for christmas for the girls they will be around 8 months perfect time to learn to crawl, sit, ect-im not sure what the best activity for this age group is but i sure would love some suggestions! we still have the fisher price ball slide; the child can sit and put the balls down the slides while it makes all kinds of noise :p --something like this the boys just loved at this age so im sure the girls will too! i have already started to get some things for my 3 and 5 yr old when i go out each time-im looking at a V tech/smile type toy for them both to learn-any suggestions for a 3 yr old beginner learner and a "i know it all" 5 yr old reader?

We had a lot of toys from our older daughter, so bought ahead for their first holidays. They got sleeping bags to sleep in (some day) at Grandma's house and on the road. They got a step stool for using at the sink. From the toys they got, they still play with the Fisher Price Animal train and their mowers.

I started early too, as you can get better deals that way before everyone rushes for Christmas... Heck I even got their birthday presents too. Most off ebay, one on craigslist. I got mine several smaller toys (one is drums) and two activity tables (leapfrog and fisher price). I'll probably give them a few early though.

A good gift for any age is a piggy pank (ESPECIALLY now that the economy is so bad!).

My girls just got a Little Tykes kitchen last night as a hand me down and they love it! It is for ages 9-36 months. It makes noises and has shapes you can drop in the freezer, and then push a button and they drop out like an ice maker. The oven and microwave doors open. It's real cute. (My 5 year old son enjoyed playing with it for about 10 minutes also, but he likes to try out all their new toys and show them how they work.)

Besides toys, I would recommend books and clothes (fast growing babies can always use clothes) too!

The girls first birthday is Dec. 23, so we need to buy birthday gifts and Christmas gifts. I got several things at our Mothers of Multiples sale. I got two Bounce and Spin Zebras and a Leap Frog Learning Table. They will probably also get some clothes and I think some Little People things.

My dad is a fraternal twin who had identical girl twins. Even though it can be hectic, it is just so great having twins in the family. I'm hoping my husband and I have them next time around! There is just more to love!

For those of you always on the lookout for cute baby gifts with a sense of humor, there are some really cool baby clothes for twins at uncommonlycute.com. Great for holiday gifts. Enjoy!

I am asking family for clothes, gift certificates and/or money for their college savings! They will only be 5 months old at Christmas so this is a good time to get this kind of thing! Next Christmas too because they still won't really get it. My daughter will be 3 on New Years Eve and I think this Christmas is the first one that she actually understands. We are mailing all of her pacifiers to Santa Claus at Christmas. Wish us luck! LOL!

I am planning on getting the boys a few outfits, some stacking cups, blocks and probably their first Christmas ornaments.
Their grandparents have big plans for Christmas gifts and I know we are getting the Fisher Price laugh and learn house, the sing along stage, the musical zoo and the song and story chair. I have also asked people to give us money to put into their savings or bonds.
