We are PTing both twins. DS is our shocker- doing great when we ask him to go.

DD, on the other hand, has been holding in her urine. She has had a couple accidents in panties and it freaks her out to be wet. Well this AM she held her urine for 4 hours until she had a diaper at nap. Then she woke with a wet diaper. Now it's after nap and she has been holding again for about 2 hours. We have her sit frequently, but she doesn't go.

I am worried if this will cause a UTI?
    Anyone else have this issue?

Both of my girls refused to pee in the potty when we first tried potty training. They went the first time and we praised them and gave stickers and it was nil after that. They held for hours until naptime, just like yours. I don't know if actually would have caused any danger, but I was afraid that it would. After three days of the same, I decided to hold off on the potty training until later.

Why not remind them to use the potty after 2 hours or so. That is what I have to do with Trevor. He will hold it, but will go if we put him on the potty. Or not put diapers on at nap time, that way they have to use the potty.

ds does this too, every 2 weeks or so I try again, but so for he will NOT pee on the potty. I am not going to force the issue so we just keep trying.

    Thanks for the replies!
After a day or so of her resisting, not wanting to potty and even crying over it, we decided to wait a bit a keep going with DS. DS is doing great just an accident here or there.

When he is done, we will do her and focus just on that.
