My exclusively breastfed babies could hold their bottles at about 7 months, one month after I went back to work part-time.

Mine started holding bottles really well with no help from me, at 9 months old

Around 9.5 months I could lay them on a pillow and they would drink their bottles all the way through. They never really got the hang of holding it up while sitting.

They are working on it now. Van can hold his pretty well, though if he loses his grip he has a hard time picking it back up again. Finn is more interested in having you hold it, but he'll do it from time to time. This was a pretty big milestone for me (if it's even considered a milestone) but as you know feeding 2 babies tough, so any help you can get is great!

My DS did it twice so far, but hasn't for awhile.

For us, between 8 and 9 months. I couldn't start holding it or they'd expect me to continue. I had to hand it to them.

She has been holding her bottle on her own since about 6.5 months and he is working on it. But really just started doing it in the last few days.

They just started this past week. :D They refused for awhile, but I kept trying to make them a few times a week and finally they did it. They still don't get the whole holding it up part so I still sit right next to then while they drink. But I have 2 free hands! It's great and sad at the same time <_<

One was doing it at around 4 1/2 months, consistently at 5 1/2 months... the other one started @ 6 1/2 months.

    :D
