Alice has always been fussy. Never an "easy" child (my parents point and laugh at me and say that this is what I deserve).

For the past few days she has been downright pissy. Angry. Interspersed with 2 minute segments of absolute angel. She woke up in the middle of the night a few nights ago, overheated and just hasn't been right since. It's like i'm constantly changing her diaper (her least favorite thing in the world, right next to changing clothes or having Royce take her toy.) She's refusing to eat, refusing to drink, sleeps poorly, has her fingers in her mouth constantly (<--what makes me think teething vs. being sick) screams at the top of her lungs when she doesn't get her way (as opposed to normally just yelling), and as of bedtime, she was still in the same diaper since lunch. (Not drinking = no peeing even when I took her diaper off and let her run around the house nude figuring that was a sure way to get her to pee.)

My husband is rather worried about her, I'm concerned, but I'm pretty sure that she's just teething, I mean she's pretty much gotten every tooth there is to have. We've been calling her "Alicegator" and "Sharky the Sharkdog". I honestly thought she had all of her teeth but her 2 year molars, but I suppose that's what is going on now?

Anyway, my husband wants to take her to the doctor tomorrow, he's a panicky pete, I'm more of a laid back gal myself (but if you asked my parents it took years for me to get laid back). I say wait it out, she's not running a fever and she has good moments. Also I think part of it is that this is the behavior I always encounter at the end of the day, he gets the happy laughy babies during the day. So I don't think that he's used to it.

And just for background information, they've never had an ear infection and it's been a while since the last cold that they had. No congestion.

Anyway, I've got to feed the pups, dose the alicegator with tylenol, and get off to bed, I'll check responses in the morning. Thanks in advance!!

You just described my DD who is within a week of yours. It's crazy! She is a complete monster these past few days. I have had to lay big pillows on our wood floor so I can set her down to throw her fit. She's downright crazy. While teething has crossed my mind, I also think she's just testing out her naughty side.

Alice has known her naughty side for months!! But she's also so dang smart I understand her frustration of not being able to physically do what she wants to do. (Which is also why apparently I walked before 8 months.)

This morning she's laughing and playing and drinking her milk, so I think I was right!! (And I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that has pillows for the daily tantrums!!)

Glad she is better today! Cody is a little cranky right now & the Dr said his 2 top fangs were coming in.
