One of my boys started (about 5 days ago) hitting everything in sight. The dog, his brother, me, DH, the TV, the floor, the fridge...etc. etc. He literally walks around with his left arm in the air waiting to strike. I have tried punishing him, but have had no success. It is so odd b/c he just started doing it out of the blue one day and hasn't stopped. It happens all the time, no matter what mood he is in or time of day. Any suggestions?

This may sound weird, but can you give him something he is allowed to hit??? Maybe a kids size punching bag or a soft ball and a plastic golf club. Maybe if you are able to do that you can then say "We don't hit ________, if you want to practice hitting a ball, go ahead and use your golf club and the soft ball. " or something like that.

I don't know, I guess that is what I would try.

My DD does this but shes only 13 months. I have no suggestions, but i do grab her hand and say "we dont hit _____, Thats mean." Her favorite thing to hit is her big sister.. <_< DD1 doesnt like it so much. Its also hard because i cant punish my 13 months old like i do DD1. So DD1 askes "Why doesnt M go to her room for T.O.?" :unknw: What can i do?

Here in Australia there is a cute commercial where this boy is PUSHING everything -- the garage door, his sister, the cat, the tables..... so the father buys him a swing so he can push his sister and everyone is happy. I'm sure it would make you laugh. I found it on You tube !!!!!!!! here is the link... http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=COstXKtN0jQ

    hope you like it.
