Sorry you are in pain. I had really bad hip pain, that is why I was induced at 36w 3d. The only thing that helped me in the end was sleeping in a recliner. By the end it was so bad I couldn't even get my legs onto the bed to lay down. I really hope noone has to have that bad of pain.

    Hi!

I've only been having hip pain now in my second trimester. For me nothing helps during the night while I'm sleeping  I've tried sleeping on pillows & even bought a mattress support, no go. As your belly gets bigger & heavier so your hips will start hurting more.

What I find gives me temporary relief is having a warm bath with a few drops of arnica oil.

As for sleeping in a recliner, I'm way to tall for that....

I truly hope you find some relief. :D

I've got hip pain and a lot of shoulder and back pain too. I have yet to find any configuration of pillows that work. Every morning it's actually a relief to get up so I don't have to try to get comfortable any more. I am treating each day and night like a small victory. Sorry - no advice, just sympathy!!!

I had a lot of hip pain in my pregnancy also. What worked for me was a pillow between my legs while lying on my side. It certainly didn't take it completely away, but it did make it more dull. HTH!

I remember feeling like that in the beginning. I was so used to sleeping on my back or stomach that my hips just were not used to the pressure of laying on them. You will be spending a lot of time on your sides over the next 6 months so your body will adjust. I just took tylenol (check with your doc.) until my body got used to it. I know it sucks!! I forgot, if you can, get a nice firm body pillow to wedge behind your back so that you can kind of lean back on it while you're on your side it will take a lot of pressure off your hips.

I feel your pain - literally. I am getting hip pain (and shoulder pain and back pain) from sleeping on my sides as well. I get some minimal relief changing sides fairly frequently. But that doesn't always work : ( When it doesn't work, I sleep sitting up in bad - I prop a bunch of pillows up to make a giant wedge up against the headboard and lay into it. It doesn't last long, but usually long enough to give my hips some relief before I go back to sleeping on my sides.

I wish I had something better to suggest! i know what you're going thru!!!! Like a pp, I'm just taking it one day at a time!
