ugh can't i just go to the pedi and have everything 'look wonderful?!?!?!!?'

the doc heard a 'click' in one of my LOs hips today. :( Im freaking out and at a loss. we go for an ultrasound next week.

because it clicks does that mean my LO has hip dysplasia???
ETA - she also has 'different skin folds' on each leg and on her butt. he seemed concerned by this as well.
    right now she's triple diapered.

Our DD at 5 lb 6 oz also had a hip click at birth (37 wks 2 days), it was less obvious at 2 days and at her pedi visit unnoticiable at 1 week. So she may grow out of it, I also had a friend who's little girl had hip dysplasia and at two she is doing fine. I hope you find confidence and trust in your little ones doctors plan. I am sorry I do not know if the skin folds come into play but our two b/g have very different skin folds. Good luck with your sweet girl!

One of my DDs had a hip click and slightly hypertonic. She went in for 3-4 ultrasounds b/w 1-4 months- she had shallow sockets but never hip dysplasia. In the end, it self-corrected and we did not have to put her in the Pavlik harness but if you do, it's only a short time. Friends who have done it say it's not that bad.

My one friend's dr. didn't find her hip dysplasia until she was 13 months old. Had to have surgery, major cast for 4 months (she had started walking). So, the fact that they are being vigilant now is great! It's SOOOO much easier to correct and monitor early.
