Highchairs

What age did you start using highchairs?

 

Around 6 months old when we started feeding them solids.

 

It depends if they recline or not. I think with my older two we started using them around 4 1/2 months to feed them rice cereal, and just to hang out with us at dinner. The chairs reclined just like a bouncy seat. This time around we just bought chairs that hook onto the end of the table that don't recline so we probably won't use them until the boys can sit up really well on their own.

 

Our reclined and I would say around 4.5 months.

Same here .

 

We started late as MIL bought them for us for Christmas so I was waiting for them. They were 7 months old.

 

Around 5.5 months when we started them on solids.

 

Thanks everyone. I have not bought them yet and Im trying to decide when to buy them...........so many things to buy!!!!!!

 

I started feeding at 6 months and I fed them in the side by side stroller until 9 months when we got trayless high chairs. The trayless chairs were expensive, but because they pull up to the table we used them from 9 months until 4 years old. So it was well worth it. I enjoyed having them right at the table with us from early on.

 

Around 6 months, when they started being able to sit up with more stability. They had been eating solids for a month previously, but we had them in their summer infant seats as there was more back support.

 

I put them in a couple times around 5 months when we bought them so they could get used to them, but really start putting them there at 6 months, when we started solids.
