    Hello,
I am trying to decide which high chairs to register for. I would love any and all feedback about what chairs you liked or didn't like.
    Thanks!

I have a Baby Trend that I LOVE, it is really easy to get the tray off and adjust the height and the seat. I also have a Graco that I like also but the little animals that were on the tray were kind of an annoying distraction when trying to spoon feed  .

Never, ever, ever buy a high chair with a cloth seat cover :D .

We had the fisher price aquarium high chair for our first son, and we really like that. We used the bumbo seats for the longest time for feedings until they moved into the self-feeding stage. Two high chairs take up a lot of space, so now I wish we had the kind that just hooked to the table.

If you're tight on space at all (what twinmom isen't?) skip the big highchair and get boosters to go on your dining chairs. We have Fisher Price Healthy Care Boosters (which I decided on after reading about them on this board) and they are awesome.

We didn't have enough room for 2 highchairs so we got the Fisher Price Booster seats. The great thing about them is that you can take them with you to friends and families houses and they attach to any chair. My friend had a highchair and actually switched to the booster because her son was able to climb out of the highchair.

We never had regular high chairs either. Just the safety first booster seats. We started using them at 8 months and still use them. Before that I would feed them in the bouncy. And we take them whenever we are at someone else's house for eating.

I have the high chairs that collapse pretty easy and are only 8 inch wide after they are collaped. I have started using mine now and I just collapes it and roll it next to the wall so I am not taking up space. It is the Graco Contempo highchair. My friend had one and she sold me on the idea. I can never link it right but if you go to gracobaby.com look under high chairs.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Chico highchairs....I got 2 as a gift and they are WONDERFUL! They recline for bottle feeding, and the reclining feature is also good for when just starting solids...They are the slimmist folding highchair in its class (as the box says) and it really is! They are a cinch to clean (never buy cloth cover highchairs...lol) Easy to fold, easy to remove and put on the table part....Can't say enough good things about them. I got the "Polly" one. (They come in all colors and Polly is one of them) They also have locking wheels so you can easily move them if you need to for any reason. That comes in handy for me. Good luck with your choice :D

I can tell you what NOT to get. Do not get the Evenflo chairs. We had two different ones and hated them both. And they had cloth covers. Like a pp mentioned, don't get cloth covers. Seriously, what was I thinking?

If I had to do it all over again, I would get a good reclining booster feeding chair that attaches to the kitchen chairs. Two highchairs take up a ton of space!!!!!!!!!

Interesting thread and to each his/her own I suppose. We have two Baby Trends (that I registered for). They have three recline positions, a cloth cover (which I actually like because I can throw it in the wash), and an attachment that fits over the regular tray that you can put in the dish washer. It also folds up, but we hardly do that.

Last week we brought the Baby trend's to the sitter's house and I bought two Evenflo expressions plus and threse are also really nice (I got them because of the price and also they were highly rated by consumer reports). It has the tray thing that goes in the dishwasher, reclines nicely, has nice casters so it rolls easily, but it has a vinyl seat cover, which is fine since lately they are more messy!

But yes high chairs take up a lot of room, so if you are trying to conserve space, I know lots of people who love the fp boosters. GL with the rest of your pg! -Leighann

We also had the Fisher Price Aquarium high chairs. We have a pretty big kitchen so we were able to keep them there but I do admit that they take up a bit of room. If we had a smaller space, I'm not sure what I would have done but I would totally buy them again. We still have them even though the girls are in boosters now because when we have special occassion meals at the dining room table, they come in handy. My girls LIVED in those chairs as infants because it was the easiest way for me to feed them simulataneously. I love that they are made of a plasticky material which makes clean up really easy. I found out many many months later that you can actually machine wash the whole seat cover which is awesome. My favorite feature was that it had 3 recline positions which was great for feeding them their bottles when they were really young. I started putting them in the highchairs when they were about 4 months old and they used them consistently until about 13 months. I thought we would use them longer but the girls really wanted to sit at the table with us. Fisher Price also makes a rainforest theme one that is pretty much exactly the same and has all the same features.

We have two of the Evenflo Expresions II high chairs and love them. They have 3 or 4 reclining positiions, different height adjustments (6 or 7 of them) and tray stores on the back of the high chair. They do collapse, but we leave our set up. They also have a vinyl or plastic type cover that is super easy to wipe off. I agree with all other pp about not getting a cloth one. I have heard if you wash them, they can be really hard to get back on.

The Fisher Price Healthy Care booster seats are awesome! I never wanted a big bulky highchair myself and found this booster seat with my oldest. She used it until she was about 3. Now we have two for the twins. The trays aren't too big or small, trays are completely removable and dishwasher safe, the seats are portable, very easy to clean and I can actually push my chairs under the table with the seats attached so they are out of sight. My mom bought the Safety 1st Easy Care seats for her house and I hate them. The tray is tiny, cup holder is too small for our sippy cups and I have yet to figure out how to remove the trays which is a major pain to clean.

I LOVE my The First Years portable highchair and boosters. They are super easy to clean, small (so your kitchen won't get crowded), easy to take with you and they have 2 trays. They are also completely dishwasher safe so you can keep them super clean. They sell for about $20 a piece as well. :)

Seriously, you don't need a fancy expensive highchair and these are the best!

For our first son we used those. It has been a great chair for him. With the twins, we used their bumbo chairs for the longest time and that worked great. I second the motion about not getting cloth high chair covers. That is what we got for the twins and it has been awful! We would have liked to get another chair similar to what we got for Hyrum, but we ran out of chairs to put them on (we have a small kitchen and table).

You may want to double check that the Fisher Price booster seat isn't on recall b/c of lead paint. I'm not for sure, but it seems like I saw this on a list at Target.

I have these same chairs and I love them. Even though my boys are not eating yet, the reclining feature allows me to put them in there and they can sit in the when I am in the kitchen cooking or doing dishes. They also fold up nicely.

I just broke out my two full size high chairs today! They definitely take up some space, but worth the room. If you entertain a lot then having a space saver may take away the extra chairs. I do, however, love my portable chairs for traveling. They make it much easier to travel to the in-laws. Ihave the Chicco high chairs and so far so good. I mean I just had them for one day so far. My sisters that all have kids swear by the Peg Perego, but I just couldn't see spending all the money. So, wish me luck... I hope these work out.
