Highchair suggestions, please!

My twins are almost 5 months old and I want to start getting them used to the highchair and start trying feeding soon. We have one highchair that I love that was my 3-year-old's. I don't want to spend money on another nice one AND I don't really want two highchairs taking up precious space in my already crowded kitchen. I've seen the "Space Saver" highchair that attaches to a regular chair, but I'm not sure how it actually saves space as the chair itself takes up as much space as a highchair. I've seen plenty of nice boosters, but I don't think my girls are ready to sit in them - they need more support. Any suggestions?

We have the Fisher Price Space Saver High Chairs. I LOVE them! They don't take up a ton of space, and they are just as versatile as a full size high chair.

I have the same ones & I love them too. Plus, there's the advantage of being able to load them in the car for dinner at friends' or Grandma's house!

I have those too (on the recommendation of the twinstuff girls!) & love them. They dont take up much room at all & I can easily move them around or stash them away.

We have the Fisher Price space saver high chairs and we love them! They sit right in the kitchen chairs and get strapped to the back. Later, when they are older and bigger, we can just use the booster seat part.

Can the Space Saver highchairs be pushed under the table when not in use?

if i tilt the tray holder arms down it fits under our table (not all the way though). but my table also has a peice of wood there, so if your table just has a 'top' w/ no extra peice below it it should fit under, or will at least be close.
(i take the tray off & store it behind the seat or tilt it inside the seat when we are not using them)

I WISH they would've had the space saver high chairs back when my twins wree born...but they didn't. So, we had these http://www.burlingtoncoatfactory.com/IWCat...is_baby_depot=1 and they used them from the time they started cereal (wasn't until 6 months) until about 2.5 years old...then we moved them into little booster seats (without trays). They reclined and never had a problem with them not being able to sit up very well.

I think that ours would have been ready for the travel/booster seats we have (the Fisherprice ones with the covered tray) around 6 1/2 or 7 months. Can you hold out and just use bouncy seats until they can handle a seat that doesn't recline? The only disadvantage I see is sippy cups are easier to tip when reclined.

We got these: http://www.gracobaby.com/catalog/product.a...mp;CategoryID=4. We have a small kitchen as well, so these are perfect. They adjust to any height and fold up to be very slim. Very easy to clean.

we have these too and LOVE them!

I love my Evenflo expressions one, the tray can come off with one hand. I never fold it up but I think it folds up nicely. Know what you mean about space. GL!

We have the Space Saver also and love it! It does not fit under our table, but we have it on a chair in the corner so it is out of the way. I'd love another, but for our second we use the large high chair that my older two used, which has to be moved out of the kitchen to the dining room when not in use. Not very pratical!

We have IKEA high chairs and LOVE them- they are super easy to clean, stackable, durable, and not nearly as garish looking as most high chairs out there. Also, they are only $25.00 (including the tray). These are the ones we have:

fisher price sells a booster type thing that straps on to a kitchen or dr chair. we use them for our girls and they work pretty well as long as we stuff blankets in the sides as our kiddos are still real little and not so good at sitting up straight.

We started off feeding in the bouncy chairs, and then around 6 months, we transitioned to the Fisher Price Healthy Care Booster Seats. They strap right to the dinig room chair and fit under the table when pushed in. They are only about $25 (the one with the covered tray) and they are great! I don't think we'll ever get regular high chairs, as these seem to work fine. We take them with us when we travel and when we go to restaurants -- they are so portable and convenient!
