I am working on my list of things we still need from our registry. We were given one highchair and 2 travel chairs. Just wondering what those with food eaters found most useful and/or recommendations on highchairs. They are not cheap!

I love ours--Chicco--has removable vinyl chair covers off to easily clean; also has removable tray protectors. Somewhat expensive but worth it. "Easy cleaning" is the most important feature for me! Wait til your twinkies start eating or should I say smearing and you'll understand :winking0009: Good luck and congratulations!

We have the rainforest highchairs, and love them. I know it's not an important feature, but it has a removable toy that they love to play with. They are easy to clean too.

We have the first year's feeding seats - take up less space than a high chair, but you have to strap them to a regular (sturdy) dining or kitchen chair. Much cheaper, mine cost $30 each. Easy to clean, the girls like it, here's a link:

We have the Tripp Trapp by Stokke. They're not cheap, but the design is just gorgeous, a wonderful alternative to all the bulky plastic crap out there. They push right up to the table, so the babies can really join you for meals. And they adjust all the way from being a high chair for a 6 month old to a booster seat for a small child to a regular chair for a teenager. Well worth the $$$ IMO! :)

I personally would definitely recommend getting 2 highchairs if you have the space. We have the Pegs. Love them but again, not cheap.

I'm looking at high chair's too and you're right they are not cheap. Have you thought of craigs list? If you can get one gently used, that is. Also, Walmart has a pretty cheap highchair by Cosco for $30. The next better is by Evenflo which isn't bad $50. It has height adjustment which is nice, reclines, and all the other extras.

    Good luck in your search!

I received two of the Evenflo ones as gifts and they are great high chairs. Love them.

However, I have the FP Healthy Care Boosters for travel and they are wonderful. If I didn't have full size high chairs I would use these at home as well. Just a suggestion if you're strapped for space.
