Time to eat! Any particular ones people like - our 100 year old row house already looks like a delivery truck from BRU exploded in here: exersaucers, gyminis, car seats, an umbrella stroller (or two), swings....so i'm hoping for something that doesn't have the biggest footprint in the world. Also if it's easily transportable from dining room to kitchen (which is only steps away, but - schlepping those exersaucers around is getting to be a challenge!.

    tks!

We use the Fisher Price Booster seats http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-...asin=B0000DEW8N I love these because the tray is dishwasher safe, these can fold up to go with you when you travel or when you just go out to dinner at a restaurant or to a friend's, and since they sit on an existing chair you don't have to bring another piece of furniture in.

This. The design is gorgeous, not just another big hunk of plastic. It's a very low-profile chair, about the same size as our dining chairs or smaller. It goes right up to the table, no tray, so the table itself is the tray - big space-saver. And it's the only kids' chair you'll ever need - it adjusts all the way from a highchair for a 6mo baby to a comfortable chair for a toddler or little kid, and eventually becomes a chair a big kid or adult could use. How cool is that? :)

We have the Peg Perego Prima Pappa. Ours are actually older, we bought them used, but we really like them. ( I had my sister get the same one when she was expecting this past year).

I just bought our 2nd Fisher Price Healthy Care booster seat. We already have one from my oldest DD that she still occasionally uses after 3 years. I love love love this seat! The twins are just starting solids so we needed a second. This sit in them fine, they are so easy to clean - not all the nooks and crannies. The best part is my kitchen chairs still fit under the table even with the booster seat attached so they are out of the way when not in use. They also fold up easily for traveling to places that we know don't offer highchairs - my inlaws and hotel rooms (we order room service for breakfast so DD can eat while we are getting ready in the morning). Anyway, I've never owned or wanted a regular high chair even when someone offered theirs to us.

I don't have a good suggestion, but I would say stay away from Evenflo. We had Evenflo highchairs that we HATED. They seemed impossible to clean thoroughly and the trays rarely stayed on securely.

Three cheers here for the Fisher Price Healthy Care booster seat!! We had traditional high chairs at first and I always felt like I was walking an obstacle course in my kitchen/dining area. We switched to the booster seats and love them! They don't take up much space and we can easily take them with us when we go on trips.

We swear by these chairs and even sent some to my B and SIL for their twins! They take up no space, fit under your table like a regular chair, and can be used until your babies are 4+ (you just stop using the tray and straps, and you can even remove the back).
