High Chair Issue

I have the Graco Harmony high chair in the Windsor pattern. I got them as gifts at my shower for the girls. They are pretty and match my kitchen. The seat cover on this high chair is not a good design. The reverse side of the seat cover (the back) has the stuffing exposed. There's nothing covering it. It's white fuzzy stuff and the girls seem to think that it tastes good! They keep picking it off the part of the seat cover that is next to their thigh and trying to eat it! They have gagged, choked and thrown up because of it. I've had to take the covers off because they just can't help themselves!

I complained to Graco and the woman I spoke to said this was the first time she heard of this problem. Are my girls the only one's that like to pick this stuff and try to eat it?!?!? The woman at Graco said they would replace my chairs with another Graco or refund my money. Is there another Graco chair that doesn't have the fuzzy stuff exposed. I looked at the Graco Contempo and the snack tray doesn't come off so the can eat at the table when they get bigger.

I had a Graco for my son and loved it. I now wish I would've kept that one. It had a reversible seat cover and no way to get to that white fuzzy stuff. I should've just tried to find another on Craigslist to match it.

What high chairs does everyone else have?

 

I have 2 wooden Stokke chairs ... and my twin boy likes to suck on that too ...!!! But with wood it's a little harder!!!

I have Kolcraft from K-mart and the covers for the seats are like plastic covered with sesame street print. they wer eonly aobut 40$ each and I love them. You could also try the seats safety first that fit on chairs if it would work in your kitchen. They're able to be folded up and taken anywhere too....my parents have them and bring them to all the family get togethers.

Good luck i have never heard that before....our seat is covered on both sides - it looks like this.... only i think this is the new version. Ours is tan and sesame st. colors. Anyways, good luck...

 

We have the Graco Contempo and love it! I haven't had any problems with them and there isn't any fuzzy stuff that babies can eat. Let me know if you have questions about them, I'll try to answer the best I can.
