We are in need of high chairs. We used bumbos up until now and that is not really working anymore. I need something they can use until 3 years old and is compact enough to fit at the table with us for dinner time. DH likes the wooden high chairs they have in restaurants (the cost on shipping is insane!) What do you have?

We use the Fisher Price Booster High Chair Seats. They are just like a high chair without the legs. They attach to our bar stools or the breakfast table chairs. They are easy to feed from and to clean. The only thing I do not like is about once to twice a week I have to take the cover off and wash. But, no biggie.

What about a chair that clamps onto the table? Great space saver, and they are relatively inexpensive.

We have these and I love them because they fit right onto a regular dining room chair.

Thanks for the tips. So far I like the FP ones as they convert for older kids. I have a few days of googling but we may just get the FP ones.

I don't like plastic, so we have the Stokke chairs (expensive though). We already had 1 for my oldest, she's now on a Cooshie, because I didn't want to buy two more.

We just started using them. http://franca-tobias.fotopic.net/c1305558.html

For other wooden chairs, check PBK, One Step Ahead and possibly eBay.

We use these. They seem to fit behind a good portion of restaurant booths (with or without the tray). They have a set of straps for attaching it to a regular chair. The feet have about 3 inches of adjustable height and they are quite compact. (I hide them behind my sofa). They're also very easy to clean. They also have a 3 point harness. A 5 point would be spiffy, but we've not had any problems with it being just three. I'd definitely get these again.
