So this is what happens to my poor boys when then fall asleep in their booster seats.

Does anyone have a solution to keep them from falling over like that? Getting new carseats is not really an option. We have no $$$. If it helps, they are just about 45lbs and at least 44 inches tall.

    Thanks for any thoughts!

Yikes! I was going to recommend purchasing a 5pt harness, like the Graco Nautilus. I'm not sure what you can do to help keep them upright without taking them out of the booster and putting them in a harnessed seat. Hopefully someone else will have some advice. Obviously, he's not at all safe positioned like that!

    Good luck!

I don't have any advice. We have the Gracos and it seems like the headrest is much tighter around the head. When they fall asleep they wouldn't be able to fall over like that. One Step Ahead has a few products that are supposed to help, but I'm not sure if they work with booster seats.

Yikes! My kids never fall asleep in the car so unfortunately I have no advice. I looked at the website Trish posted and they have something called the Seatbelt Snoozer. That might help. GL!

Oh my. That is not safe at all.

Your boys have birthdays coming up - can you have family/friends contribute towards new seats. That would be a great gift. I know my twins still fall asleep too and the seatbelt will do nothing when they slump over.

You could also ask through your local twins club or on Freecycle.

I agree with everyone else, I'd switch to a seat with 5pt harness... if you really can't afford it I wouldn't let him fall asleep in the car and I'd make sure he's positioned properly - this isn't safe at all if you have an accident.
