Hi I've never posted before but I've been checking this site out for awhile now and just love all the information and advice you've been offering eachother. Well I'm 35 wks as of today and I've had an amazing pregnany so far.But there is one issue I'm having with my twin girls lately "HICCUPS" lol. They both get them every day a few times a day and it is SO annoying. I feel them when I'm standing and worse when I'm sitting. Is there anything that you guys know of that maybe I'm doing or can do to prevent it from happening so often? Cause I don't remember this happening with my first pregnancy although it has been eight years ago. I'm seeing my OB on Thur but lately it's just getting to me so any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Tammy

Hiccups for the babies is a good thing. It means their lungs are developing and they are practicing breathing techniques for when they deliver. As they breath in and out, they can develop hiccups. My dr. told me that it is a good thing when you feel it so I don't know if you would want to stop it. Just one of the joys of pregnancy [IMG]

Hi Tammy, congratulations and welcome to Twinstuff.

Unfortunately, I agree. Hiccups are a good sign. As annoying as they can be try to consider them a sign that things are going well!

Well thank you for your responses. I guess my complaining stops here..lol..since it's a good thing. It's just at first I wasn't sure if it was a good thing to be happening and so often. I know how much I hate it when I get the hiccups that I felt so bad for them.

    Thanks
    Tammy

yes hiccups have become pretty regular for mine too. usually only one has them at at a time, but both have been hiccuping simoltaneously too. the boy is head down and the hiccups feel like they are bouncing off my cervix which is really annoying. but i am not ready for the hiccups to be happening outside my body yet so i guess it could be worse!

Hmph! I didn't know they were a good thing either! I'll stop complaining about mine having them too! [IMG] Noah has them right now... I've never felt Nicolas have them - but he's positioned sort of weird anyway.
