As you can see, they are over 11 months old and ds still gets them alot. What is the cause? What can I do to stop and prevent them?

Katie gets them all the time, after every feeding!

I remember when the boys were 11 months they hardly ever got them... if ever.

Ugh. I've been wondering this too. DD always gets them (she did in utero too) and DS rarely does. They shake her little body though!

I don't know what causes them but Gripe Water gets rid of them instantly. It's all natural.

Interesting, what is Gripe Water exactly?

You can get the Gripe water in Little remedies brand... its for colic and hiccups. I have been looking for it everywhere and I can't find it yet...

We put Gripe Water in every bottle, but one of my DDs still got hiccups a lot. It never really seemed to bother her, though (not as much as it bothers me when I have them!). It got better around 9-12 months (sorry, I don't remember more specifically), but she still gets them way more than her sister. Still, it doesn't seem to bother her. She thinks it's funny.

The Baby's Bliss brand works great for us -- I used it when the babies were gassy when they were younger, but now we only need it for hiccups -- and it does work instantly (and I use less than half the recommended dose).

It's just water with a little fennel extract, ginger extract, and a teeny tiny bit of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda).

You can get it at Whole Foods, or I ordered it from drugstore.com....
