Hi I'm new. We found out we were having twins the week before Christmas, I was about 8 weeks along. We are very nervous, but now that we are getting used to it we are getting excited. We have a 3 year old and a 15 month old...which means 4 under 4 WOW!!! Have any of you found when you tell people they generally don't know what to say. I'm not sure if it is because we have 2 young children already, but I'm starting to get frustrated!!!!! I feel like everyone thinks we are crazy for having so many kids. All along we have know we wanted 3 children and we got a surprise with twins on the 3rd. We understand it will be a challenge, but I wish people would be a bit more supportive!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I'm so happy to have found this site, I think it will be a great resource. Sorry my first post was such a rant.

I will have 4 when the twins arrive as well. I live in CA...and YES people say "I bet your done now". I respond with yes, we probably are...we are so excited, and we are very happily surprised by the twins!

Four for us once these babies come too! Congratulations!!! You'll get all kinds of weird responses and statements from people, but give them no attention --just enjoy all of your children and enjoy your pregnancy!! After awhile you'll get some really good comebacks to anything anyone can possibly say to you and . . . it's kind of fun.
[SIZE=12pt] :sign0016: and congratulations!!! Don't worry about what others say! I have 4 children 8, 11, 12, and 14! The twins will make 6! I couldn't be happier with my family and I love my children! I always use the excuse of working at a daycare (I am a director), but no one should have to excuse why they have as many children as they do. I try to smile and be polite, but one of these days it won't be that way! I will have had enough! Do the best you can, and don't be afraid to give 'em h***, if that is what you want to do! They are your precious children and who are they to say anything about it! I think some people are trying to be cute or just don't really know what to say. I don't think they are honestly trying to be rude. You could always say something like, "do you realize what you just said?" and walk off. Never know... they may think twice next time! Anyway, we're glad you joined TS and it is really a great site! Enjoy your children![/SIZE]
Hi, welcome to Twinstuff and congrats on your twins. You will find that people say the strangest things, and sometimes don't think about what they are saying, with twins. <_<
:hi: Congratulations on your twins and welcome. I also have gotten wierd looks and funny comments when I go out with my troop. At one point, I had three kids one and under. Most of the time I just smile and say a nice remark back and walk away.
Congratulations! I had 5 children 5 and under when my twins were born. I got some comments, too. But those things don't really bother me. I love having all my kids and wouldn't trade it for anything. Although I do continue to say God has more faith in me than I do, because I wonder at my ability to do it right sometimes.

Congrats Mamaleah! That's an odd response....We are pg with our first babies and everyone has just been really excited when we tell them. We haven't told a ton of people yet though. Kelly
