Hi Everyone - Newbie Here

hey there ladies.

I have just discovered this great site. I am 35 yrs old from New Zealand. I have 2 girls aged 14 & 11 and 2 step sons

aged 12 & 13. I am 21 weeks preg with fraternal twins. The twins are my fiancé and my first babies together.

One is defiantly a boy and the other was too shy to show us at our 20 week scan so we are trying again in 2 weeks.

So far I'm finding it tough on the old body lol but hanging in there.

I thought I would just say hi and introduce myself and I look forward to reading everyones stories and posts.

I have a 14yrold daughter, too; sounds like you'll have a busier household than I, however. You might check out our Large Families forum on this board for fun.

Be sure to tell us when you find out the other baby's sex!

Welcome and congratulations! I love New Zealand. I worked on a cruise ship and we were there for like two weeks. It is a beautiful country!

I hope that your children and step children are helpful and help you around the house. They can even help with the babies when they arrive!

 

HI and :sign0016: Congratulations on your twins. One of mine decided to play modest, too. She wouldn't show us anything until 26 weeks! Frustrating! I have 4 children, too and 3 of them are your children's age. Mine have been some great help... especially my 14 year old. I don't know what I would have done without her really. If they aren't helping too much, start making them now. I am a very independent person and don't relinquish my responsibilities very easily, but when I hit 30 weeks, everything went out the window. I am now 35 weeks and I feel completely helpless. My belly is so big, laundry (other than folding) is out of the question, and so is almost every other chore around the house. My blood pressure goes up if I do too much, that includes walking from the car to the doctor office. The only way it goes down is if I lay on my left side. Unfortunately, I don't have the inclination to lay around all day! Good luck and enjoy your little ones. It's a lot of work, but it's all worth it!

hey thanks so much for the warm welcome. What a neat bunch of ladies

I am in Pukekohe - which is about 20 Min's drive from Auckland for the Welly lady.

I am leaving for an over seas trip to a nice tropical island on Saturday so I just hope I can cope with the heat lol

and the flight. Only a 4 hour flight so I should be ok. My ob has given me the all clear to travel.

This was all planned before I got pregnant I must add!

Yes My teen daughter loves babies so much (hopefully this will put her off for life lol) so she will be a great help.

I am struggling being pregnant after 12 yrs. Let alone 2. I should be sleeping now as it's just past midnight but

these 2 wriggle bums have other ideas. There is a party going on in my TUMMY lol

Anyway thanks again for the warm welcome I will be lurking and asking lots of questions no doubt
