I went Tuesday for a routine US and the tech saw my cervix was short (2.1),and they sent me to L&D,I had a postive FFN,but it was done after my transvag US so they arent putting alot of weight in that, because the feild was contaminated.

I stayed untill wednesday afternoon, and now Im home on left side bedrest .Im allowed a shower everyother day,an potty breaks since my bathroom is on the same floor of the bed.

Im on prcardia for contractions, and they gave me steriods for the boys lungs while I was there.

Im scared to say the least, but I feel like the bedrest will work!

Just wanted to say Hi! Intro myself...J

Hi, this is my first week on bedrest too. Although its not as strict as yours. I am still working from home, but that just consists of being on my laptop, which I probably would have been anyway. I had about 5 contractions an hour Sunday, so I wen to L&d and had a positive FFN although my cervix still looked good. They gave me meds to stop the contractions and each day on the couch I've had less of them. I am feeling a lot better after just this week on rest. I hope all goes well with you.

Sounds like a bunch of us have been put on bedrest lately. Wonder if the weather heating up may have something to do with it. I've been on strict bedrest 1 week now and i swear i'm going nuts!

Sounds similar to my story. I was put on bed rest after a routine 24 week scan showed my cervix was 2 cm. It was torture but I made it. Hang in there, it will be worth it in the end.

Thanks all! Its good to see that alot of other are in my spot...I was feeling really guilty, and like a failure somehow.

Ive been working strong all pregnancy because my OB said it was ok..now my boutique is closed ,untill I can find someone to help, and I doesnt even bother me,in fact I could care less....its amazing how fast your roles can change.

Getting these babies to a safe weight for birth is most important!

    Thanks again...HUGS J

No don't feel guilty at all you have done a great job coming along this far. You now have to do everything you can to keep those little ones cooking as long as you can!! Trust me I had my twins at 30 weeks due to pre-e but, before then I started bedrest at 24 weeks due to high blood pressure then went to hospital bedrest at 28 weeks I was sooo sick and all I wanted was for those babies to get out. Once I got them out I sure wish I had them back in to cook/grow more because the NICU was a hard time for me!

I wish you the Best Of Luck!

Hey! Just wanted to let you know that YOU CAN DO THIS! I went on bed rest at 21 weeks (modified) due to early stage TTTS and then I was put on complete bed rest and Procardia every 4 hrs. 24/7 because of having basically no cervical length left! I'm still pregnant today! I just took my last dose of Procardia last night at 1am...I'm 37 weeks today! I can only tell you that it was not easy, but it WORKED! I was really good about setting my watch so that I never missed a dose of medicine...even in the wee hours of the morning. I was also really good about the bed rest thing. I have a toddler, so I had family to help me with her so that I did not have to run around after her all day. I only left the house to go to my weekly Dr. appointment and I didn't even drive myself there. This may be a bit excessive, but my family FREAKED OUT when they found out about my mini-cervix.

Oh, my cervical length was 0.8cm or 8mm for 3 months with funneling and it was even opening and closing at one point! I was given steroids at 30 weeks. I also had 3 FFN tests. The 1st 2 were negative and then a positive FFN at 35 weeks, but obviously nothing happened. So, anyway, just wanted to let you know that I understand your struggle and I am thinking about you! If you have any questions just let me know! :good:

    Thanks Kristy!
Im happy that my cervix is as long as it is then...I havent left the bed ! My little visit in the hospital scared me enough to lay here however long! I have a scan tommorrow, and I hope Im not shorter.

Im also very lucky that the boys are doing so well too(they are mo/di)not once have they been not the same exact size which is a huge weight of my mind!

Are you having a section? My OB want to deliver mine by section, uts what he prefers with mo-di twins,Ive never had a section so Im a little nervous about that, but whatever he thinks is best Im ok with!

I bet you have those boys this week! GOOD LUCK keep me posted!
