Well....I have been really, really sick....really sick. Started throwing up suddenly on Sat morning after a long and exciting night of playing Laser Tag with our youth group. I was totally fine on Friday. But Sat morning woke up as sick as a dog and my husband had left at 1am to drive 4 hours away to play in a paintball tournament. Thankfully I was able to call my mom to come and rescue me. I spent the whole day in bed, didn't keep down a thing. On Sunday I was still in bed, but I was able to keep a little bit down. Monday I started feeling a bit better, was able to keep down a bit more, but still hurting. By the evening I was able to eat some apple sauce and some toast...
Felt like a really bad flu.

But this morning - woke up SICK AGAIN!! And SO tired....I was a wreck. My husband came home around noon and I had him swing by a place here in town that gives free pregnancy tests....I just want to rule it out...you know, so if I had the flu or swine flu or something, I could be treated.

Well, I had to wait for a few hours because I didn't think I would be able to pee enough...not drinking very much.

But after a nice nap...I took the test. One of those fun dip stick tests...lol. And in less than 10 seconds there was a BFP!!!!! HOLY FREAKING COW.

I couldn't even remember when my LMP was...I didn't think I was really LATE...I think I was anticipating it any day now...but here I am holding a BFP.
I have had every range of emotion from frustration that I wasn't able to "plan" things a bit better and be prepared - you know, taking folic acid, lose some weight, PLAN, as us women like to do.... I cried and cried...I was watching my plan to go to Philippines next year slip away...my inlaws wanted to take us on a cruise in May...that is going to effected...I want another baby - just not NOW!!!!

I am trying to get into a Lab to get an US done ASAP....The soonest I could have one done here in my town is October 22nd!! My reason for wanting an US is because in order for me get on a waiting list for a Midwife, I need to know my due date, so they know how to schedule me in. I really, really want a Midwife.

I did some calculations, based on a date in the past I KNEW for sure I started my cycle, and since I am very regular, I would say I would be close to 5 weeks....which is ironic because 5 weeks was EXACTLY when I started throwing up with my twins...and I had bad Hyperemisis from that point on. So I nervous. I picked up some Diclicin right away - and an Ensure drink...but I pretty nervous.

    Here I go again!!!!

Come and join in is the pregnant after twins forum!

I'm in a similar boat in that this is an unplanned pregnancy for me and most of my first thoughts were, but I'm so out of shape, I haven't been taking folic acid, my breakfasts consist of 16 oz of coffee, and I've had a drink 24 of the last 28 days!

Call me parinoid, I had a u/s done right away to rule out another multiple pregnancy!

Thanks! I shall!! I am disappointed because my last pregnancy, I was temp charting so literally knew the DAY I conceived (well, it maybe have been one or 2 days...) and I knew I was pregnant before I took a test! We literally got pregnant the 1st time without protection.
This time - we were not temping, although I wanted to start on my next cycle and was starting to explore some other BC options. I don't drink or smoke, but I went to an amusement part at the beginning of the month (prob not pregnant at that time, though), I sat in a hot tub maybe 2 times for an hour or two, and I did some major ab work outs at the gym a week ago today!! I have taken Tylenol (Extra Strength) this month, too....

I guess this explains the cravings for salty snacks, eating a whole bag of pepper & lime chips (OMG....so good!) and the two dreams that I had which involved being pregnant and my water breaking (more like Niagara Falls...lol). And also a renewed desire to have a baby girl and name her Rowen.

The good news is, it's not contagious so I can kiss and cuddle my kids as much as I want and I smooch my little nephew. :)

 Congratulations! I hope this is a smoother ride for you than last time. I had hyperemesis, too, and it was beyond awful. A seriously traumatic experience. Best wishes to your family!!

Thanks all....I had a good day today - actually felt hungry which was a nice after 3 days of not being able to eat. I am certainly feeling some familiar feelings - one though I didn't have as much when I was just starting out into my 1st pregnancy - TIRED....wow....I could sleep forever! I am wiped! Probably because I am running around with the kids all day. Whew!
