it's actually They might be Giants
i don't know when they became a band that does kids songs, because i totally remmeber them from college and NOT kid songs! they're fun CDs though, occ. a bit odd, but fun and different. (not barney-ish)

Our kids LOVE They Might Be Giants. We have the CD entitled "No!" and the DVD for "Here Come the ABCs" (DVD is mixed...animation, puppets, etc)

Actually, I don't mind their music at all. It's not overly cutesy. My kids tend not to listen to child-specific music (our fault!), but they really like listening to playful adult music like the Ramones, B52s, Cibo Mato. They Might Be Giants is kind of a mix!

DH, the girls, and I are all addicted to their Friday night video podcast!! These guys rock! The songs and animations are great, and the girls regularly talk about and sing the songs. DH was actually disappointed this morning when this week's episode wasn't up yet. I reminded him that it's called the Friday NIGHT podcast and TMBG are under no obligation to post it at 6:00 am before he goes to work! :)

You can get the podcasts for free, and don't need a video iPod to view them -- just go to iTunes and search for They Might Be Giants.

I think it's so cute that the girls can say "podcast" and "computer" at 21 months -- I'm such a geek!

I'm with Jaci -- our kids don't listen to kids music too much, mainly because DH and I can't stand it and never made an effort to expose them to it. There's plenty of fun "adult" music. TMBG is great for the whole family.

I loved them in College too and my girls love the CD. They started doing kids songs when they became parents. But they've always been on the goofy side so it's a good fit.
We have No! and Here come the ABCs--The first one is audio/CD-rom with some fun computer games. The second one is Audio and DVD.
    Their favorite song is Violin.

I LOVE TMBG! We have most of their CDs and have seen them multiple times in concert. We have the Here come the ABCs and it is the kids favorite. I need to order the 123s. It's actually in my Amazon shopping cart.

I used to listen to They Might Be Giants in high school, so I think it's so cool they have a kid's version. Definitely a b-day gift I need to get them...

I didn't know about the podcasts, how neat! I'll look for them. DH and I are HUGE TMBG fans! We've seen them in concert multiple times.

My boys are total addicts of the "Here Come the ABCs" video. I think my library is going to start hiding it from me- I need to buy it! And I might as well buy the 123s, too.

I have seen them in concert a few times, too, and once in a record store. They are really nice people. They are supposedly starting kids concert appearances soon...
