We went to see the pediatrician today for our 2 month check up. One of mine has a bobble head-she is not holding it up well. I have a tiny bit of improvement though. It is bigger than her body though and hopefully soon she will be able to old it up...i'm worried she never will. My other one is doing well. Anyone else worry about this??

Was your ped. worried? If not, then I wouldn't worry too much either. I know it's alot easier said then done, especially with twins because you have them both right there in front of you and they are the exact same age. ;) My ds had/has a very large head and he was later with holding up his head, so that might have some correlation, I'm not sure. For my son, tummy time was the key to building his strength. :good:

I used to worry about my DD at that age and I felt the same way. I was worried she'd never have a strong neck like her brother, but it just takes time for the muscles to get stronger. Tummy time helps a lot. One of my uncles tried to reassure me. His 15 year old grand-daughter couldn't hold her head up even at 4 months old. Some babies have weaker necks than others ...but it's not something you have to rush. According to a book I have on baby development they should be able to hold their heads up really well by 6 months.
My DD is 7 months old now and she CAN hold her head up. lol

my girl is the exact same, and theyre the same age as yours (corrected- due july 4). my boy is SO strong and will hold his head like its nobodys business, my girl is a bobble head lol. i try tummy time and she just lays there like, okay are we done yet? is the bobble head really laid back? mine is VERY laid back and relaxed and calm. not much bothers her. im calling the early intervention lady on base tomorrow, she said i could call whenever i wanted. i opted to not have physical therapy yet, they were both acted like they should. she had sent me exercises to do with them, and charts of when they'll do this and that, etc. halle is still lagging begind. ill let you know what she says since she considers my 2 the same age as yours.

I agree with the pp, if your ped is not worried then I would try not to worry. I'd try to give her some more tummy time.

My DS was like this too! His head was larger and it took a little while longer than DD. Not too much longer though .

Mine were wobbling until 4 months... Really held their head steadily at 5 months. I really wouldn't worry.

Mine did not hold their heads up well until they were just about 4 months old.
