just try not to think about the mess or meals, the kids will suvive on noodles or mac and cheese it doesn't matter, what's more important is to keep the munchkins cooking inside of you. Just watch tv, go on computer and rest rest rest. Have DH make u snacks etc.. and keep them beside the bed to eat so you don't have to keep getting up.

    Good luck to you

I was the same way when they put me on bedrest. I had a positive ffn test at 32 1/2 wks so went to the hospital for the steroid shots & found out I was contracting every 2mins & 1cm dilated. I only had to stay for 3 days & they released me on terb & bedrest. My DH is a pilot in the AF so he works 12hr days & I have an 18mth old to take care of. My DH flew my mom in from MA so she could take care of our son for me & I can get more rest. I really don't do the whole bedrest thing but I do try to take it easy most of the time. Well I have now made it to 35wks & they have taken me off the terb although I am still suppose to be on bedrest. The closest NICU to us is 11/2 hrs away so they wanted to make sure I made it to 35wks at least although I'd like to make it to at least 36.5wks (I'm not ready to take care of 3 babies under 18mths yet). At least you don't have that long to go, I couldn't imagine having to do this for months, my hat is off to those that have to. I think if you take it easy you'll make it, I still do alot of my everyday stuff it's so hard not to! Good luck!!!!

You can do this! I went on bedrest at week 5!!!! I stayed there until week 33 and 1 day...the day I delivered!

You can do it for 5 days....you need to get all the rest you can...and store it up!

You will be holding your little guys real soon!

    Good luck,

    Missy

5 days will fly by. Think about what it will be like to have your babies in the NICU, that is what kept most of these women and myself on bedrest for 4+ months. You will be great as will your loves, can you ask for people to help you with meals for the next few days?

You can do 5 days, just remember it is best for your babies. I survived 15 weeks of bedrest, 5 days will fly by. Relax before you have your twinfants to keep you on your toes!

I agree with everyone else. You can definitely do 5 days. Your children and husband will be fine. I've been on bed rest for almost 5 weeks now and have partial bedrest for at least 2 more. I understand it can drive you crazy but 5 days will fly by.

Hang in there...I just joined you 2 days ago and I'm only 19 weeks pregnant. 5 days sounds pretty good to me. I know what you mean about keeping things clean. I'm a clean-freak and have a 3 year old and 11 month old...it's drivin' me nuts already! I just keep reminding myself, it's what's best for these babies! Good Luck!

Oh you can do five days! Think of it as a self-permitted vacation. . . you're going to wish you had taken that vacation if you don't now from what I understand. The mess and responsibilities will never go away, but 5 days to get your babies to a healthier point is temporary!

I've been on bedrest since 21 weeks. (Not trying to make you feel bad.) And many other moms on here have done more than me. I've got three other kids, ages 7, 5 yo and 17 months here at home. But I can't do a thing for them if I am to try and save my babies. . . just trying to get them to 28 weeks gestation. Yeah, I feel sorry for my DH and am having to depend on people to help, but in the end, it's worth it for these babies.

Get back in bed! Grab some books and DVDs, sit back, relax and take this little vacation while you can! Less than a week. . . you can do it!

  11. :hug99: I think you have done so well so far keeping them in that long. Another 5 days would be great so you don't have to travel to another hospital - is there anyone - family or friends that can come and help? Think about some of the people here that have to be on bedrest for weeks!!! Hang in there!
