One of the twins has had a rash that keeps coming back. First they the doctor said it was from the craddle cap, then she said the formula. The rash went away and now it is back. Could it be cereal, soy, 1st foods, detergant. I don't know what to do. The doctor said he has sensative skin but nothing seems to work.

    Do you have any suggestions?

Could it be a yeast infection? Those can be pretty persistent...

Hope you can find some answers soon!

Josh had a rash all over his face and the back of his neck when he was about 2-3 months old. It looked HORRIBLE! The ped told me it was the same thing that causes cradle cap, and to wash it with Head and Shoulders(careful around the eyes), and also use Caldesene Powder after baths. It worked SO good!

Is it eczema?? Carlie has that and we use Aveeno Baby Calming Body Wash and Mostirizer. We also use Eucrin Aquaophor and that has done wonders for her. She had it all over her legs/arms and her skin felt so rough. We use that twice a day and it has improved dramatically. We had tried soy, but that didn't work so I put her back on her original formula.

My thought was eczema. Cortisone clears it up if it's not too bad. I thought my ds's rash was something else at first...but it was ezcema.

Where is the rash? My Sean has eczema really bad and it looks like a rash. We use my special lotion recipe to help clear it up.

When he had craddle cap they said the rash on his body wasn't eczema. It is on his face. We stopped the soy and put him back on his regular formula and we are stopping all food for a few days and then we will start all over to see if he gets the rash again. We put some of his steroid cream on his face this morning and it seems to be clearing up alittle.

My girls are 2 and allergic to dairy, wheat, eggs, beef, squash and bananas. They had a rash all over their body. It was just a raised rash not scaley. It went away after we stopped using Johnson and Johnson and Target brand (made by Johnson and Johnson) hair and body wash. We started using California Baby which is gluten, dairy and nut free. When they used to eat their allergens their bottoms would be completely raw and it would not clear up until we eliminated the food. Hope that helps. You may want to ask for a RAST test to see exactly what you are dealing with because rashes and eczema are due to something your body doesn't like.
