When all four firls are awake each one is wanting my attention. I can't handle all four at once so I out the twins in their bed and take care of Mel and Ap first so once they calm down I get the twins and then Mel and Ap start again. My mum tries to help, but if she takes a baby(ies)they get more fussier so she has to give them bsck to me. How can I get to them all at once so they can calm down easier??? I don't know what to do!! It's really frustrating.

So do you have two sets of twins? One year old and newborns? Oh, heaven help you. I don't know the answer...but I would say enlist each and every person that you even know a little bit to help! Do you have a baby zone that the older ones can play in? I bought a 12 ft baby gate and made the dining room our baby zone. It is babyproof, only has their toys and a changing table. My 4 year old isn't allowed to have her toys in there so I don't have to worry about choking hazards. I have an activity tunnel, a riding horse, a big bucket of toys, and a baby garden for them to explore.

Maybe if Mel and April have an area that will be fun and stimulating, they will be a bit more independent and you can focus on the new babies.
Do you have enough bouncy seats for all of them? Mine still use them, and if I need to do something, I pop in a Baby Einstein. Try that, you can't be in 4 places at once!!

    Good luck!

Yes, I can see how you would be a bit frustrated at times. Isn't it funny how, even when so young, they know and want Mom. I am so not in your shoes, but I do have 5 children who all want my attention all the time. Fortunately, they don't all need it like yours, but they all want it. I pray for patience constantly, and sometimes I have none and lock myself in the bathroom while they cry outside the door. At least no baby has ever died from crying (just a little bit of mom losing sanity). Remember you have us here to vent to anytime. You are also in the sleep exhausted, needy stage. You must remember it does get better.

When my babies were that old, I would get my toddler out of bed and let her watch cartoons while I took care of the babies. Then I would get some Emma time. HTH

I don't have four, so God bless you!
What about investing in a sling baby carrier (or two)?
That way you could carry one or two around and attend to the others. My baby carrier is a Godsend. When it seems like nothing will calm them donw, that will. It's relaxing for them and that's good for mom!

I hope you find some solutions. [IMG]
