Okay, we are going to be having a new singleton in March and need some advice. DH and I are unsure of what to do about the stroller situation. If you have three small ones, how did you handle this? I don't think my boys will be ready to be out of the stroller next summer (they will just be 2 in late May). Any suggestions would be a great help. I have a sproutpouch for when the newborn is little, but, he isn;t going to want to be in there all summer.

We had to buy a quad stroller for our 4 little ones. We only use it if it is just one of us taking them out. Otherwise, we use 2 double strollers (in your case you could use a single and a double) when we are out. Our older twins are 2 1/2. We have used the harnesses on them an put the younger twins in the stroller. This is usually when we are in an open space or such. It is hard to keep up with them in a crowded area using the harnesses.

I have seen folks use a double stroller and a pouch like you mentioned. If you are interested in a triple stroller, look on the Internet for a used one. They are much cheaper than a new one.

If you look at stroller sites, there is a Joovy (brand) Sit-N-Stand and you can get a double stroller with a back area where the 3rd child (guessing one of your twins) can sit (buckled) or stand. I have seen these in action and they seem great.

I had the opposite situation....a 16 mo. old and newborn twins (and a 3 yr. old!). Anyway, I fought it for nearly a year, but finally just got the Valco Baby Twin with the added toddler seat, based on a lot of recommendations from moms on this site. It is incredible. I got mine on ebay and saved some money. I even found some on Craigslist. I don't know how much you want to spend, but I LOVE this stroller. I prevously had the berg runabout triplet, and it was great too, but the Valco Baby is SO MUCH easier to steer, I can not even tell you. Send me a private message at anytime if you want to further discuss. I seriously feel I could teach a class on triplet strollers accomading different ages of children!!!! It's nuts!

You need to check out the Valco twin stroller with the attachable toddler seat!!! I have it and so does a friend of mine who has 7 month old twins and a 2yr old. It is her life saver. It is actually a double stroller that is narrow enough to fit through standard sized doors, swivel front wheels, super easy to manuever, I really cannot say enough good things about it. The toddler seat attaches in the front so it does not add any width to it. Look it up. A good stroller is worth every penny in my opinion. :)

I have 20 month old twins and am just contemplating trying for another baby. One of my twins hates being in the stroller nowadays (I have a Duoglider). So I am seriously contemplating buying the Joovy caboose, single stroller with a toddler seat option. It will help me now with the DD that doesn't want to sit in the stroller, and then my hope is that by the time I might have another my two toddlers could share the back if needed, but my current escape artist might be able to walk more often by the time this would all occur (if that all makes sense).

I found one on Craigslist for $75, but haven't heard back from the seller. I'm hoping it is still available. I'd sell my Duoglider and my single stroller if I got the Joovy. I do have a double SBS jogger that I intend to keep. We use that a lot in the summer and they don't mind being in that.

We have a Valco Baby and love it. I opted not to get the toddler seat because I had a singleton that I knew wouldn't go in it. I have seen many in the area that have it and they say they love the toddler seat. It is a bit pricey but well worth it.
Someone is selling one in the Shopping forum. Great price.

I was also going to suggest the Valco double w/ toddler seat. When my twins were born, DS#2 had just turned 2. This stroller would have been a LIFESAVER for me!!! However, it wasn't available... ;-) Anyhow, I agree that a great stroller is worth every penny you spend. A great stroller will last until your twins are 3+, totally worth it for your sanity!

I also like the Joovy, but have only used the single option. I did think it was a bit hard to steer - which means the double would be even more difficult. But it is a good, less expensive option. You just can't beat the steering on a Valco, though!

When my twins arrived, I also had an almost three year old. We bought the Valco twin runabout with the toddler seat. We absolutely love it! It is so easy (my mom, who has arthritis and a new hip says it is like butter) to push, I can push the stroller with all three in it and pull a big grocery cart full of groceries. I have not found a doorway that we cannot get through, as it is about a half in less in width than a wheelchair, so it has to fit. The toddler seat even has a harness to strap the child in, but even now, my four year old still likes to sit in the stroller. Strangers often call it the princess seat....as I have three girls.

Thanks everyone. I am glad I posted this question. I am going to check out the Valco and Joovy strollers you mentioned. I had never heard of either of them before.

I bought a used PP Triplette on Craigslist. Only $200. THe baby seat I have (Graco) can fit snugly in the back seat so I won't have to take her in and out of the car seat.
