My boys have started changing their own schedule, getting up earlier (Daddy's not thrilled) but they end up napping latere in the evening. Howevere, if they skip this nap, they are ready for bed around 7:30, which leaves me no time to do dinner and baths!! Now that I'm laid off (It happened even though it wasn't supposed to! <_< ) it's not THAT big of a deal, but I would really rather they go to bed around 8:30-9.
Here's this schedule, any suggestions would be verey much appreciatd!!

6 am- wake up (but DF usually tries to get them back to bed until around7:30-8)
    8- wake and bottle
    9:30- breakfast
    11- bottle and nap
    12- lunch
    3- bottle
Here's where things get tricky- we try for dinner at 5:30, but they end up falling asleep as soon as they get in their high chairs. If I try to keep them awake, I feed them and they fall asleep around 7:30 with no time for a bath because if they get in the bath right aftere dinner, they throw up! If I let them nap, they will nap until 7-7:30, I feed them dinner and they are ready for bed with no bath!!

This is getting very tough!!! Its been like this for weeks and I really need a solution!!! What I want is to give them dinner at 5:30, bath at 6:30 and a bottle and bedtime at 8:30! But when to have them nap!???!?!?!?!?

    HELP!!!!

Could you try to give them baths in the morning?

Are they only taking 1, 1hr nap? If they wake around noon from first nap, I would think by 4 they would need another. Can you try 4-5 or something like that. Then you can give dinner when you want. I am NO schedule expert at all, I'm just thinking that my kids want another nap after 3hrs of being awake.

I'm no schedule expert either but IMO they still need 2 naps a day at that age and I dont think they can go until 8:30 right now. If they wake at 6 I would get them up before 8 and do a bottle at like 7 or 7:30 and move everything up by at least a half hour. Maybe do your naps at like 10 and 2 and try for dinner at 5:00, bath at 6, and in bed at 7. Once they mature and start getting consistent with their sleep, they might sleep in a bit and then you can gradually move the bedtime back.

Again this is totally my opinion and I know there are others that have theirs go to bed later. But I found that once mine dropped that third cat nap at about 9 months they had to go to bed by 5:30 and not a minute later because then they were overtired and would scream. The early bedtime lasted for at least 3 months and then they started sleeping in later then 6 am and I just went from there but even now they are usually in bed by 7:45 at 20 months.

I also wanted to add this link to the FY handbook and other 10 month schedules by other TS Moms. I always looked at these to see if there was anything I wanted to change or assimilate into my schedule.

This is my problem, some days they nap around 1 hour, but other days they will nap for 2 or more hours in the afternoon.

To pp, morning baths are not an option, mainly because DF is chicken. He won't giv thm baths and I am usually out of the house in the morning. First for work, now for school. He tried it once, but he swears Austin almost drowned and has since not done it.

Tonight the boys napped until 7:15, had dinner and a bath and its now 10 and they are playing and unwinding but WILL be to bed soon!! I can't do this any day but Saturday, but this will throw them off all week!!

    Any other ideas?????

mine go to bed at 8 Pm sometimes 8:30. now they are down to 1 nap a day but at that age they were taking 2 naps a day.

they woke at 7am gave bottle
    8:30 breakfast
    10am bottle and nap
there next nap would be at 3pm and i wouldn't let them sleep past 4:30

dinner was 5 or 5:30 bathtime 7pm. then bottle and bed at 8 or 8:30 depending on how long it took me to get everything ready after bath.
