My LO's will be 3 in April....they have been going on the potty while naked since they were 2. and doing great, both of them do both on the potty...but they still refuse to wear underwear (they only have it on for like 15 min then they want it off) I dont know what else to do, I just signed them up for Preschool for Sept....How can I have them trained by then...

Try and show them and tell them that as big "boys" or "girls" they need to wear clothes like mommy and daddy do and its not appropriate to have their privates uncovered. GL and I hope you find something that will work to get them dressed! Congrats on getting them potty trained. Mine were over 4 before they did that on a regular basis!

Uhhh, we have naked time every day. So it might not be appropriate in your house but it certainly is in ours! A&R run around like a couple of cuckoos for 20 minutes before putting on pajamas. I just give them the countdown and they know that underwear is non-negotiable for non-naked times.

You could look into the 3-day bootcamp thing, a lot of people have tried it with success, or you could do naked training too. BriberyRewarding the behaviors you want could be an option to get them to wear underwear, like, "If you wear your underwear until nap time, you can have three m&ms." (Or whatever their currency might be.)

Maybe you could try taking them to the store and letting them pick out their own "big kid" underwear. Phrase it like "well if you don't like the underwear we've picked out for you, maybe you're big enough now to pick out your own." Or something to make them feel like they're in control.

She was asking for help and I was just giving her a suggestion! She could take it or leave it! I was not trying to be rude just helpful!
