    Hi everyone!

I am having a horrible time with indigestion lately. My throat is constantly burning, and I feel as though the contents of my stomach are always churning in the back of my throat. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and may have found a solution. So far, everything I've tried hasn't work.

Ugh!! That indigestion was what made my pregnancy the worst!! I took Tums... but I'd definately call your doctor to see if he can give you something that helps more. Good luck.

    Tum-Tum-Tum-Tum TUMS!!!!
I lived on tums & they really did help me.
Indigestion/heart burn was AWFUL & I had never experienced it until pregnancy. It was hard.
My Dr. also said I could take Zantac as well.

Lying a little but upright also helped - extra pillows making you lie at a slant makes it better :good:

    Feel better!

I take reglan, however it does not always work. Basically it is supposed to help the flap at the bottom of your esophagus close so that the food cannot come back up. It is a prescription. Tums never worked for me. I have to sit upright after eating or even better, move around after eating. Eating small meals, not eating after 6 and not drinking with meals helps, but is not always possible. Mine is worse at night so I have to front load my eating! It is the most miserable thing. I think it is what contributed to 6 months of morning sickness for me. Good luck.

Your OB should have a list of over the counter antacids and acid reducers that's safe for use and in what weeks. Make sure you check with them first. This is a another symptom of pregnancy and one that you'll have throughout the pregnancy possibly.

I've had to change my diet to a more bland diet, no carbonated drinks, cut back on salt/pepper, even juices have to have low acid. Dairy products just seem to make it come back worse later I've discovered.
Sometimes sleeping with my head elevated helps too at night.
