Okay, we put the girls down like we usually do....I heard them in there laughing and carrying on, which is normal....then all of a sudden I hear one of my DD screaming crying....I looked on our video monitor and could see one DD sitting in her crib and the other one was NOWHERE in sight! So I rush in and there she is standing in front of her sister's crib bawling....

She climbed out and I guess fell or something I hugged her for a second and looked her over to make sure there were no obvious signs of bruising or broken bones and then put her back in her crib...

Their cribs are end to end....I looked back on the video monitor and could see her trying to climb into her sister's crib and her sister is laughing hysterically....she didn't make it and gave up and laid down....then she tried again, but didn't make it and laid back down...thankfully she stayed down and hopefully won't try again tonight....

But, DH and I need a "gameplan" for tomorrow night b/c I KNOW she will try again!!!! Help Please!!! What do I do? My girls are such great sleepers...I am so scared that they are going to just keep climbing out over and over.....so that we will have to keep coming back into the room.....what should i do??

Mine did this and their cribs were end to end. Get a crib tent! Mine are almost 3 1/2 and I am only JUST about to move them to beds. The crib tents have been heaven sent. They have them at Babies R Us and Wal Mart.

For tonight, I would separate the cribs a little - make it impossible to get over there! :hug99:

My Martin did it - ONCE - he fell and I bought a crib tent that day! Never had to use it!! He scared himself so bad that he just never did it again!!!

I've heard great things about crib tents, if you don't think they're ready for toddler beds. I agree with everyone, separate the cribs a little. Sounds like that's what she's going for, is the other crib. :)

I'm sure you are aware of this, but if you DO separate the cribs make sure that they are FAR ENOUGH APART so that if she did try to climb over the end of the crib there would be no way for her to get wedged between the two cribs if she fell. I have heard of tragic stories of a child falling and getting wedged between the cribs, or crib and wall, etc.

My sister and I used to do this when we were babies. I am not sure what the crib tent is but my parents just put our cribs next to each other. At first there was something seperating us like crib->dresser->crib side by side. So when they moved them together we could hold onto each other but still stay in our own cribs. Creature comfort is an amazing thing.

The crib tent, we have on on each bed and I know they'd climb out if we did not.
