Help me predict their shoe size for next winter

The Children's Place has great winter boots on clearance for $9.99 but I have to decide what size to buy. They're quite short, probably 15th percentile for height, and wearing a size 4 right now. I can get sizes 6, 7 or 8. How much did your kids feet grow from 2 to 3?

 

Honestly, you really can't predict well. Sometimes it feels like mine have grown 2 sizes in a month, and other times they didn't grow for 6 months to a year. Sorry I can't be more help, but that is why I never really buy clothes or shoes early, although now that mine are over 5, it is easier to predict.

 

I have to agree with Sharon. It's way to hard to predict. I learned my lesson early on and now I just don't buy anything ahead.

 

Mine are wearing 5's right now, and I bought size 7 boots for next year, and I'm hoping that works out. I bought them for $4 at Target, and I'm guessing I can get my $$$ back on Craigslist if they don't fit.

 

Mine went up two sizes in a year, between now and a year ago. HOWEVER, I am so hesitant to buy things ahead of time. It always seems to backfire on me!

 

I buy clothes, but not shoes because it is so hard to predict.

My girls wore a 4 last spring (18 months) and are now in 7 boots- nearing 8s ( 2 yrs 4 months). They shot through 6s in matter of weeks.

I would save your receipt and you can always resell then if they don't fit!

 

I would LOVE to buy those boots at The Children's Place too. My twins recently just got into a new size from 4/5 to 5/6 for this Spring/Summer. They were in 4/5 for since 10 to 16 mos old (6 mos approx). It is possibly they'll may go to a size 6/7 by late Fall/Winter.

If you really want that boot, go ahead and buy it as long as you think you can sell it on ebay, ask friends if they want to buy it from you, or hold it until garage sale day. If it just 1 pair of boot it wouldn't hurt to get it? <wink>
