so i have a 4 year old and my new twins we have graco snug ride carseats.. let me know whats worth it.. it'd be nice to have the graco to sling around the carseats on but then again my son is 40 lbs and i'm sure he'll want a seat sometimes too. or should i go with the combi because its smaller, and easier to move around and will take both babies but not the carseats? i've always had my eye on the graco..

I'm between the Graco quattro DUO

    or the combi

I definitely say go with the Combi. I have the Combi and the Duoglider, and the Combi is much more versatile, light and my girls LOVE it!!

I have had the Combi since my girls were 9 months old and I love it and I am still using it. I would suggest not going with the sport version becasue it does not have cup holders for the kids. I am pretty sure it is the Twin Savvy's that have cup holders.

When my girls were in snugride car seats I used the frame which I loved and then I used my Graco Duoglider. The Graco stroller was very heavy and the car seats just made it heavier. I did like it for certain outings but they were very few and for the most part I used my Combi after they grew out of the car seats and I couldn't use the frame anymore.

I have both. On Monday I received my Combi Twin Sport and so far I like it. I got a great deal from Amazon; $167 with free shipping but it's only on the black/wasabi color which is what I wanted:

    Combi Twin

We will be buying convertible car seats in the next week since the graco's only go up to 22lbs and I know Jake is getting close.

To be honest, it will be nice to have both. When I go shopping at Target and Kohl's the duoglider seems to fit in the aisles better. I like that the combi is sbs and it's easier to put them in.

I think on a daily basis I will use the combi more esp. as they get older.

I had a Snap n go, which accepts two infant carseats, that I used the first five months. Then I switched to the Maclaren Twin Triumph, a SBS. So, I ended up using both kinds of strollers. HTH :) .

We have both, not that particular kind. I think newborns are too little for the side by side, but I could be wrong.

  7. Have you seen the CONTOURS double? It takes the car seats (comes with one adaptor and you can buy one) AND-- it moves great- big wheels and very smooth. Has all the features the Graco has but isn't as bulky and moves much more smooth. I take mine on walks. It's also priced very well at under $200 As for the 4 year old- my DD will be 4 in NOV and most of the time she doesn't want/need to sit in the stroller and I rarely ever take all 3 of them out alone so if I need to I just have DH push her in the umbrella stroller.

My BF has the Combi and although it is lightweight and narrow for a double it has really small wheels and is horrible for long walks outside.

    here's a pic

While I don't have either of those strollers, I do have both a tandem & a SBS. I used the Graco Duoglider with the carseats until the boys switched to convertible seats at 6 mos. I can't imagine putting infants in ANY stroller WITHOUT the infant seats...they'd just tip over ;)! With 5 pt harnesses & a good recline, MAYBE they'd be ok.

The Graco stroller you linked states it's only up to 40lbs, so your son is practically too big for it now anyway. A lot of people complain about the weight of the Duoglider but it doesn't bother me. The only time I notice is loading it in & out of the van, which is no biggie. I think it handles phenomenally & I typically push it one handed with no issue (my boys are currently 23 & 22 lbs). I even do big time grocery shopping with it...loading up that basket to the brim! People comment about how much that thing holds when I start unloading it :):):)!

My SBS is the Peg Perego Aria Twin & I don't like it. I was so excited to get it & it's maybe been used a handful of times (although, if we didn't have our wagon, we'd use it more for walks). It handles poorly, has flimsy wheels, & can't be pushed 1 handed. It is lighter, but I'd rather have heavy & versatile than that. Even though it's narrow enough to fit in doorways, it wasn't narrow enough to fit in aisles IN the stores, plus the basket doesn't hold much. Also, with the SBS, my boys are constantly poking at each other & stealing food off each other's trays...ugh!

I've heard GREAT things about the Snap N Go but I never had one since my Duoglider has been my companion since day one. The ONLY time I have trouble with it...our Ped's office! You'd think that place would be equipped for big strollers & it's not!

You'll always find mixed reviews for any stroller. My best advice is to go to a place like Babies R Us that carries tons of different brands & drive them around. Go in & out of aisles, fold & unfold, push 1 handed, etc. That's the best way to find out what YOU'LL like!

I had the snap and go, duoglider, and combi twin savvy. They all serve different purposes. I highly suggest having the snap and go in the beginning. It doesn't take up any room in the car and handles well outside. I bought mine used from another twin mom for $25...well worth the money. I started out using our duoglider and it was just so bulky and took up so much room in the car and was super heavy. I used that more often when the girls were out of the infant carrier and we were doing something outside on various terrains. The combi (we bought used on craigslist) is lightweight and was nice for when we traveled or did things inside. It didn't take up much room in the car. But, it's super flimsy IMHO and has not held up well at all. I think there are various times when you want a different kind of stroller and if you can get more than one, I recommend it. Craigslist and local multiples groups are always giving you good deals. As for your 4 year old, I wouldn't bother getting anything to accomodate him. There will be such few occasions where it's actually needed. My girls use the stroller maybe 2-3 times a year now.

We don't have either of those but we do have the snugride car seats, that we use in our double snap in go (LOOOOOVE this BTW. Easy to steer, and sooooo light). We have a Baby Trend side by side jogging stroller. Technically the babies are too small for it, but with a snuzzler each, its perfect for them. No falling over or sliding out. We've also just bought a couple of single Combi Flare umbrella style strollers to use when we travel, and also if we each want to take a baby and go in different directions. No complaints with any of them.

If you are going to get a Combi I would highly recommend the Combi Twin Savvy instead of the Sport. The snack holders come in very handy for little finger foods while running errands.
